" 'Slavery is not a mere condition; it is a kind of life. The woman is not simply a slave when you seize her and throw her to your feet. She is a slave, too, before this, and after this, subject to your will, and knowing it. There is a wholeness, a fullnes, a beauty in a woman's being a slave...' "
Book 12, Beasts of Gor, page 312

In this girl's opinion, your attitude is at least 80% of your training. Without a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn on your own, your training becomes more of a chore than an enjoyment for you. Consequently, the way you represent yourself to Eeveryone at the Inn will be insufficient to the expectations that the Free Residents have on us girls.
- The very first thing you need to strive for, no matter what your personal situation is;
absolute obedience." 'What is the duty of a slave girl' I inquired.
'Absolute obedience' she said, frightened.
'What are you?' I inquired.
'A slave girl,' she said.
'What is your duty?' I asked.
'Absolute obedience,' she cried out."
Book 8, Hunters of Gor, page 258Everything that is asked of you, whether it be from a Free Person, or one of your trainers (le~ala and sahira) should be harkened to immediately without hesitation or argument.
It should be noted that if you do not understand an assignment or task, you may ask for clarification.
If you are not allowed to serve something yet, you may explain such to the Free Person politely, and beg to serve something you are allowed to serve, depending on your training level.

- humility is the next thing you need to retrain yourself in.
Humility, as defined by Websters Collegiate;you are no better than any other slave serving at the Ko-ro-ba Inn. In the same respect, no other slave is better than you. All persons with a ko-lar about their throat, are the same; property. you will not gloat, you will not brag, and you will not tease a sister in slavery (((unless it is done in a playful manner while enjoying some unrestricted time at the Inn, after chores and such are done))). you will, however, offer to help another in time of need, and you will do so with the utmost of concern, and willingness to please.
the quality or state of being humble; meek.
remember always that the Free are everything in your world, and that you, as slave, will be treated no better than an object, an animal, for according to Gorean law, that is what you have chosen to be, here at the Inn."In the eyes of Gorean law you are an animal. You have no name in your own right. You may be collared and leashed. You may be bought and sold, whipped, treated as the master pleases, disposed of as he sees fit. You have no rights whatsoever. Legally you have no more status than a tarsk or vulo. Legally, literally, you are an animal."Remember always that you are subject to helpful criticism from all of your brothers and sisters, even if you are further along in your training than the one offering the suggestion. Again, we are all slaves, and no one slave is better than any other. Any slave caught *telling off* another slave either publically, or privately, will be held responsible for their actions, and dealt with accordingly.
Book 13, Explorers of Gor, page 316

- Too, you are at the mercy of the Free, no matter what Their desire. you should, and will strive in everything that you do, say, are and will be. you should and will never try to do something that a Free Person might deem embarrasing, dishonorable or disrespectful. It reflects badly on your Owner, the R/residents of the Inn and yourself. you can and will be corrected, disciplined, and or punished.
" 'You cannot punish me!' she cried. 'You are not my master!'
'Any free person can punish an errant slave girl,' I said.
'Surely you do not think that her behavior fails to be subject to supervision and correction as soon as she is out of her Master's sight?' "
Book 25, Magicians of Gor, page 225Here at the Inn, the Ubar (Damian Bloodstar) decides punishment for any slave wearing the {ki}/{KI}. However, should you be found displeasing in any way, you can and will be caged until you are able to be dealt with.
- As a Gorean slave wearing the ko-lar of the Inn, you are required to serve any and ALL Free Persons. you do not, even if promised to One, have the right to choose Who you will and wil not serve.
"We do not choose our Masters nor is it up to us, whether or not we will please them, or to what degree. We must strive perfection in all ways, for anyone. That is part of what it is to be a slave. In reconciling myself to bondage I had, also, to reconcile myself to this condition, it is a part of bondage. It is something which the slave must accept. Without it there can be no true slavery. I had accepted this condition, at least theoretically, verbally acknowledging its incumbency on me, in my training. somehow, interestingly. This acceptance too, seemed liberating to me, it made my bondage much more real to me. Too, interestingly, in its way, it also made it seem much more precious to me."Should any slave be thought to be playing favorites with the Free, she will immediately be referred for punishment. (see above notation) Decisions are no longer yours, unless specifically asked for by a Free Person; remember however, that even though you may be allowed to make a decision, or give an opinion, it is the Free Persons right, to reject it at will. you will be treated as slave here in this realm.
Book 22, Dancer of Gor, page 92

- And now, a few points to always remember:
1.) While in training, a slave should not meet the eyes of a Free Person, unless commanded to do so.
" 'Your head should be down, between your arms,' I said. She put her head down. Again I saw a small movement in her body, a tremor, subtle. She had put her head down before a man. Another consequence of this position is that the girl's eyes, in the specific act of her serving, do not meet those of the Master. They are lowered before his, as one who submits. This is also reminiscent, in an experienced girl, of her training. Often in training, a girl is not permitted to look into the eyes of the trainer, unless he should specifically extend this permission. Indeed, in some cities, the girl in training may not raise her eyes above the trainer's belt, unless, again, specifically accorded this permission."
Book 13, Explorers of Gor, pages 160 - 161  2.) your body should always maintain a pleasing posture, whether you are kneeling, walking, laying down, whatever. At any time, a Master could be peeking in a window and watching from the shadows; it is in your best interest to always be seen as physically pleasing, even if One is not within your sight!
3.) you should always request permission to speak when addressing a Free Person, and you should never interrupt the Free's conversation or activity to begin conversation with Them.
Slaves should be seen and not heard.
Don't speak unless spoken to.
With your fellow slaves however, you may banter at will, play with, and get to know, unless they are serving.

Now, with all of the above in mind, one hopes you are able to enjoy your training here at the Ko-ro-ba Inn - one looks forward to working with you!

Forever Loyal,
