“Don’t tell me you’re nervous,” Nick smiled.
“Oh don’t worry, I’m always nervous. You know me,” she smiled back.
A crew manager interrupted them. “You’re on after the commercial,” he warned.
“Okay, thank you,” Ally said. Two minutes later, the same crew manager was showing Nick and Ally to the stage of Entertainment NOW!, NBC’s highest ranked talk-show. As they walked out, the audience erupted in cheers.
It took Erica Frost, the host, a few more seconds to get the audience under control as she introduced Nick and Ally Carter. “So Ally,” Erica began. “How are you taking that big Oscar win.”
“It’s so amazing.” Ally remembered. “I honestly didn’t think I stood a chance and when they called my name and I thought that they were joking. I couldn’t believe it.”
“From what we all saw, you were certainly a little shocked. Erica paused. “We hear that you have a new movie coming out this fall.”
“Yes,” Ally said. “It’s called Allure, but trust me, it’s completely a Joshua Jackson film. I just co-star.”
“I honestly can’t wait,” Erica said whole-heartedly. “It looks amazing.”
“Thank you,” Ally smiled.
Erica continued. “And Nick, the fourth album from the Backstreet Boys is out next week. Am I right?”
“Yeah,” Nick said. “This new album took so much hard work but it’s completely from the heart and soul of the Backstreet Boys.”
“It’s amazing,” Erica went on. “After all these years, the Backstreet Boys are still topping the charts. Some people expressed quite a concern when you popped the question to this lovely lady four years ago, but the BSB are still going strong.”
Ally blushed.
“I couldn’t imagine my life any other way,” Nick smiled at Ally while the audience ohed and awed.
“That’s not all though, is it?” Erica inquired. “There’s more, isn’t there?”
Nick licked his lips nervously. “Yeah,” he laughed. “There is.”
“Are you going to tell it, or am I going to have to?” Erica laughed.
Nick paused and smiled. “Ally and I are going to have a baby. She’s due in February. It’s a boy.”
The audience erupted again in applause and Ally smiled lovingly at Nick. Ally knew that there was no way that she could be happier. She had everything she had ever wanted in Nick and she was thankful.
“Congratulations,” Erica said. “Stay tuned for more entertainment news on Entertainment NOW! after this commercial break.”
