" Man I'm so tired. The first day is always the longest and hardest." He said sitting down on the couch.
" Aww poor baby." I started massaging his shoulders.
" Mmm, that feels great." He pulled my head down and gave me a kiss.
" Alright you two lets go!" Kevin told us and we broke apart.
" Your no fun." I stuck out my tongue at him.
" Well either was being woken up with ice water." I just started laughing and we left.
The weeks passed and we were now in Germany. The guys were putting on great performances almost every night. They had early interviews to attend to, and afternoon photo shoots. It was a Friday and the guys had the whole weekend off. Which was very rare.
" So Nick what do you want to do?"
" Um...sleep?"
" Oh come one. You can sleep in tomorrow."
" Alright, I heard there was a secluded park a little bit down the street. We could go play some basketball."
" That sounds good. Lets invite everyone!" I said jumping up.
" Haha alright. I'll ask the guys why don't you go ask the girls."
" Do I have to invite Becky?"
"Well...yeah you should."
"Ugh OK." I walked out of the hotel room and went down the hall way. I knocked on Lena's door first. She opened it with a smile on her face. " Hey you want to go play some basketball?"
" Yeah that would be fun!"
" Ask A. J. too." I laughed and A. J. stood behind Lena.
" We were just...talking." Lena said innocently.
"Sure ya were. So Bones you want to go play some b-ball."
" You got it." I went to Kelly's room next.
" Hey Kel you up for some basketball?"
" No thanks, my ankle is still a little sore from dancing. I'm going to just rest this weekend.
" Oh yeah, that would probably be for the best. Do you need anything?"
"Naw I'll be fine. Thank you though." I nodded my head and Rebecca's room was next.
I knocked on the door lightly.
" What?!" She pulled it open.
" I was wondering if you wanted to go play some basketball."
" Aww aren't you the sweetest thing?"
I rolled my eyes. "Yes or no?"
" Nick playing?" I clenched my teeth but said "yes".
" Then yeah I'll play."
"Fine, meet us down in the lobby in five minutes." I walked to Angela's room next. She was a totally crazy person. I would've expected her to hook up with A.J. but Lena really likes him and he really likes her.
" Angela want to go play some basketball?"
" Um let me think...SURE!" I laughed and told her where to meet us. I knocked on Marie's room but she didn't answer. "Howie." I told myself.
I walked back to Nick's room and he was tying up his shoe laces.
" Get everyone babe?" He asked me looking up.
" Yeah, Kelly's not playing cause her ankle still hurts and I think Marie is with Howie."
" Yeah she was. They're watching some movies together. Kevin is on the phone with Sarah trying to her to fly down here. Was A.J. with Lena?"
" Yep they're going to come play along with Angela."
" Brian is too."
" Alright we all set?" I asked tying my sweatshirt around my waist.
"Yuppers." He grabbed the ball and put his arm around my shoulders. We went down in the lobby where A.J., Lena, Brian, Angela, and Rebecca were waiting. Because it was so close we walked there.
" OK teams? We have an odd number." I said.
" Oh I'm so glad you can count. B.J, Lena, Stacey and Angela one team. Brian can be with Nick and I."
Everyone just stared at her.
"Hey its fair. Nick and Brian are good at this game right? And I'm not. Makes sense. So lets play."
I was about to slap her face right there and then. Brian saw how ticked I was and pulled me off to the side. "She's not worth it. Calm down." He smiled. " Think of it this way, at least your against her in this game..."
" That's true." I laughed and we started the game. After about an hour things started to get heated up. It was like a real game of basketball. I had the ball and just as I was going for a lay up shot I was tackled to the ground. I pushed Rebecca off me and just kinda stayed still. My back felt like a million needles going through it.
"Anastasia! Baby are you alright?" Nick asked brushing my bangs to the side.
" Yeah just give me a min."
"Oh come on she's fine. I barely hit her that hard." Rebecca said rolling her eyes.
" I am so sick of your bull s*it. First you give everyone attitude for no reason. You hate me for God knows what?! Nick DOESN'T want you, nor will he ever! Now you push one of my friends down to the point she's in pain. Now get out of all our faces before I make you leave myself!" A.J. yelled getting closer and closer to her face.
" I do not need to stand here and take this from a low life you!" With that she stormed off. I was now sitting up leaning against Nick. A.J. came and knelt down by my side.
" Doll you OK?" A.J. asked me with a concerned look on his face.
" Yeah, thank you A. J. For well...getting in that bitches face." I smiled.
" We should get you home Hun." Nick said helping me up.
" Oh come on, we should get a real game going on now." I said walking over to the ball.
" I really don't think your in any condition. I don't want you to-"
" Nick, I am fine. Now lets start a new game." I picked up the ball and started dribbling it. Angela went on Nick's and Brian's team. I had started playing kinda rough. It was because I was upset at the fact Nick was being over protective.
Another hour went by and everyone decided that they were tired and hungry. Well, mostly the guys were hungry.
" How's your back holding up sweets?" Nick asked putting his arm around the small of my back.
" I'm fine!" I pushed his arm away and walked a little faster. Nick started to come after me but Brian held him back and came by my side. He draped his arm around my shoulder.
" Is it that time of the month again?" Brian asked with stupid smile on his face. I shot him a look. "Guess so."
" For your information no its not!"
" What's up then? I've never seen you get like that towards Nick...well anyone really."
" I'm just sick of it. Ever since the accident everyone treats me differently. For a while it was to my brother and I because we lost our parents. Then the guys I dated, I had to break up with them cause they were more concerned with my chair. Now because I get some pains once in a while I have him asking me every ten minutes if I'm 'holding up ok'. Its getting to me ya know? I know he's just being caring, but he has to trust me when I tell him I'm alright."
" Whoa calm down hun. I know exactly how you feel though?" He said rubbing my back.
I gave him a look saying "how?"
"With my heart. Before and especially after my surgery every time I walked across the room. Put on a concert, played basketball, worked out. ' Brian are you alright? You look kinda pale.' or 'Looks like you're having trouble breathing do you need the oxygen tank?' I knew they were just caring and worried. It got to me so much but I had to learn to deal with it. Yes, I eventually lost it and screamed out 'I'm not f-ing dying, I'm fine and if I am I'll let you know'."
" You did not say that. You swear just as much I do, and that's hardly ever."
" Well, like I said. I lost it. I have to admit you had me nervous too when you were just lying still on the ground. Too bad A.J. got to Rebecca b*tch before I did. I was ready to slam her head into the pavement." I laughed.
" So I do understand where you are coming from. And if you want me to I'll talk to Nick. I'll tell him and remind him what I went through and he'll understand. Only if you want me to though."
" Could you?" I asked looking into his eyes.
" Of course." Brian and I walked the rest of the hotel talking about a whole bunch of weird things. The others were talking and messing around, having fun. Nick on the other hand kept to himself and quiet.
