Chapter Two

I ended up falling out of my chair with a blond haired guy on me. He got up and immediately started apologizing.

" I am so sorry, I came out to get a drink and was in a rush and didn't see you there. I mean I wasn't watching where I was going. Are you OK?"

I laughed a little as he said this all in one breath. " Its quite alright, your not the first one who hasn't seen me." I smiled.

He seemed really nervous.

" Um...do you need help back into your chair?"

" No, that's OK." The guy put the chair back onto its upright position and held it sturdy for me. As soon as put pressure on my wrist, a sharp pain shot up it. "Ouch!"

" Your hurt."

" Maybe a little."

" I'm not going to hurt you if I pick you up, am I?"

Just as I was going to answer another guy with curly blondish/reddish hair came out of the basket ball gym. (We're at the Y)

" Man, you're such a klutz Kaos."

" Shut up Brian. Can you go get her some ice. Her wrist is hurt."

" Sure thing." He ran of in some direction.

" So is it OK to pick you up?" He turned his attention back to me.

" Yeah its fine." He gently picked me up and set me in the chair. He took my hand into his and began examining my wrist.

" Let me know when it hurts." At this point I looked him over and realized how good looking he was, not to mention sweet. He bent my wrist back a little and I winced in pain. " Sorry."

He looked into my eyes and my eyes locked with his baby blue ones. I gasped a little as memories came flooding back to my mind.

" Does it hurt real bad?"

" Nick?" I said almost in a whisper.

" So you recognized me huh? Yeah, my name is Nick, what's yours?"

" S-S-Stacie." I stutterd out.

" Have we met before? You look so familiar." He doesn't remember. I said to myself. "Oh well, probably not. I don't think your wrist is broken. I think its sprained." Nick became distant as I watch him search my eyes. For what I wasn't sure. It looks almost exactly like her. No it can't be. her name....no its not. She died almost 3 years ago. Nick thought.

"Hey Nick, here is your friend's ice." He gave it to Nick." Hello my name is Brian, what's yours?" He asked sweetly in his Southern accent.

"Stacie." I shook his hand with my good one. "Thanks for the ice." He smiled and nodded his head. Brian looked over at his best friend.

" Nick you alright?"

" I uh-have to go. Brian please help her. Again I am really sorry for hurting you. I hope your wrist feels better. Um, if it needs medical attention, let Brian know and I'll pay for it. Bye!" He ran off around the corner, leaving Brian and I confused.

" Brian, I know we just met and everything, but may I ask you something?"

" Sure, go ahead." He began to wheel me down the hall.

" Nick's last name is Carter, his middle name is Gene, he is 19. His mom's name is Jane and his father's name is Bob. Right?"

Brian laughed lightly. " Yeah, you a big fan?"

" Well, you see...I grew up with him." Brian stopped walking and looked at me.
