"Katie?" Nick managed to utter in both amazement and disbelief. She turned her head toward him and was hurt by what she saw. He looked horribe. His clothes were all crumbled and his hair was all messed up. His beautiful blue eyes were red and swollen and he had dry cracked lips.
"What happend?" she asked, not beliving what she was seeing.
"Katie sweetie,.. I'm so sorry." His mouth quivered and he started to cry. "I should have been there." he said over and over again. Katie was getting scared and angry.
"What Happened and why am I in the hospital?" she demanded.
Nick started to open his mouth but a doctor stepped into the room. A sad expression came onto his face, but yet at the time, a joyous one. "Did you tell her?" He asked Nick forcefully. He shook his head.
"Tell me what?" she pleaded with him, but he just shook his head and turned away.
The doctor sat down and looked at her straight in the eye. "I'm sorry to inform you that two days ago, two men attacked and raped you."
