'Buffy' Stars in TV's Fall Line-Up

This season's fall line-up is packed with Buffy stars (okay, maybe not packed per se, but they're there, and that's what counts, am I right?)

Anyhow, here's the lowdown on who's where:

GUEST STARS ON RETURNING SERIES:

Charisma Carpenter: Veronica Mars (UPN)
Ms. Carpenter will be playing trophy wife Kendall Casablancas for at least 2 episodes (most likely more), beginning with part two of Mars's season opener.

James Marsters: Smallville
Look for James as the evil Brainiac. He'll have a multi-episode arc.

REGULARS ON NEW SERIES:

Alyson Hannigan: How I Met Your Mother (CBS)
Alyson Hannigan is set to play Lily on the new CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother, which will be airing Mondays at 8:30 pm, with the series premiere airing on the 26th of September. (I, personally, am looking forward to this, and hope I'll remember to watch it. I need a show I can become obsessed with that's actually still on TV. *cough* Buffy. *cough* Angel. *cough* Friends.)

Nicholas Brendon: Kitchen Confidential (FOX)
Nicholas Brendon co-stars in Kitchen Confidential, a show about a chef (Bradley Cooper) who turns to some old friends when he needs some help rebuilding his career. (Nicholas plays one of those friends.) And, hey, speaking of Friends, Bonnie Somerville (Ross's girlfriend Mona in season eight of Friends) also stars, along with Owain Yeoman, Jaime King, and John F. Daley. The shows airs Mondays at 8:30 (darn it, the same time as How I Met Your Mother...I'll have to tape one or the other), and premieres September 19th.

David Boreanez: Bones (FOX)
David Boreanez and Emily Deschanel head up a new FOX series about forensic anthropology, inspired by the life of forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. The show will premiere Tuesday, September 13th, at 8:00.
