Leaving her for college was one of the hardest things to do. It's not everyday that you are blessed to have someone so special so close to you. It's true, I thought about her all the time and I missed her so much, but on October 4th, my princess came up to see me for my Homecoming.
You can't even imagine how excited and giddy I was to see her. My heart was definitely doing back-flips. Could it really be? I scarcely knew how to react...I thanked God so many times for this wonderful blessing.
Needless to say, I was happy. Happy isn't a good enough word. How about content? Nope, that implies settling. How about the luckiest guy in the world? That's getting there...
If it weren't for the help of Brent, Dayna, Chris, and Joy, I would not have been able to pick her up or take her back to the airport.
The feelings I had then more than worth all those years of waiting for someone so special in my life. I missed a lot of opportunities, so some say, and I sacrificed many things, but I knew then, as I know now, that anything was worthwhile, for a love like this. I could talk forever about her, but I will let the pictures describe how I felt, seeing her coming toward me.
