Wow it has been a while. I changed the way the wallpaper section worked so it doesn't take so friggin long to load. My previous method had all 12 pictures load into one huge table. Now it loads them individually and you can click on the two links above it to move to the next image.

Hey! I have made a bunch of changes! With a little bit of luck, my new "Contact Me" form will work. All of this is neat and all but, why? Well, I'm taking a web design course at ECPI and I thought I'd make my education experience useful and make a few upgrades to my site here. Granted, there are misspellings (I'm saying this mainly to my instructor) but some of them are there on purpose. I know - for a fact - that the ones in my AIM profile are there on purpose. Then there are a few things in there that are written in another language.

Hmmm.... I guess it would be great if I actually got around to posting this stuff rather than typing it and letting it sit on my mac's hardrive huh. Maybe I'll remember and upload it tomorrow? Who knows.

Ok! I have an interesting morsel of stuff to tell you few that just might drop by my little place of existence! I'm a firm believer in certain forms of karma. You know things that happen allll the time but there is no explanation or anything behind it. Call it luck if you like. Maybe fate? Any of these concepts ring a bell? I have "Yellow Light Karma" and "Cop Karma".

Every time I approach a stoplight for any reason - it doesn't matter if I'm late or just going somewhere with no particular rush - the light will be green and turn red as I approach it or it will turn yellow after I have hit the point of no return. Hmmmm.... The point of no return? Here in VA there are white lines that lead up to the thick-ass white line that you are supposed to stop in front of. These serve as signals to drivers to tell them not to change lanes (but everyone does anyways) and that they should be able to bring their vehicle to a stop in that distance if they are going the speed limit. Granted, if they have a heavy load, are speeding or are driving huge rig with an empty or full trailer that ain't gonna happen. But I'll be driving (speed is not an issue here) around the speed limit and be at the half-way point and the damned light will turn yellow! EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN' TIME!!!!

Cop Karma is a little different. On my way home from ECPI, I tend to avoid the interstate due to the massive construction that started about 4 years ago and will end about 20 years from now. This windy little side road has a stretch of s-curves that are fun to take at abut 50 mph in my truck. Granted the speed limit in this area is 35 so I am in direct violation of the law during this little run. I see it as being OK to do because the corners are open and you can see everything happening around those corners. I'll admit, if some bastard comes out of one of those housing developments at like 80 (no exaggerations here, they would have to be going FAST) then they might surprise me and also end up in the lake on the other side of the road. But, every time I get to the next light on that road, there is a cop that was either two cars ahead of me or a cop about to turn onto the road that I'm just leaving. Maybe they just know I'm there and are trying their hardest to catch me going 50 in that one little 1/8th of a mile stretch. Who knows? Oh well....

Hmmm.... It has been a while since I have done anything with my site. Oh well. Anyways, there is something I would like to show to those who are interested.

The picture above is what came out of the air intake filter of my truck. This just goes to show ya what kind of place we are living in. I can understand bugs and other "nature" stuff that might go up and get stuck in the intake filter but a parking ticket? I'm not one to say everyone should go green and take up a hobby of being an environmentalist. I'm just asking people to keep in mind what they are tossing out their windows and stuff. Sure, accidents happen. I just don't like the idiots that chuck trash out their windows on purpose. Normally I wouldn't mind but things like this make me glad that they made intake filters so this kinda stuff doesn't end up in the engine.

Wow! Where did the weekend go? So, yesterday was DJ & Sara's wedding (congrats to them!). I almost didn't make it. Thursday (the 24th) the starter in my truck went out (*insert sarcastic voice* yay *end sarcastic voice*) so I started working on it friday. OK, I started at around 10am. At about 7:30pm (with my dad's help) it was done. Yay! Saturday is here! Now I get to take a looooong drive up to Richmond (live in Hampton and it's about an 82 mile drive). From the time I got there (about 2:30pm) till the start of the service/reception (5:30pm) it was fun. I got to drive through bunches of country roads at like 60 (no kidding here) in my truck. The roads are poorly paved (the only reason they are paved is so the school buses don't get stuck when it rains) and that made me more thankful that I have a kickass 4wd truck for a first vehicle.

The reception was cool and not all "holier than thou" like some weddings are. It wasn't quite as boring as I thought it would be either. None the less, DJ & Sara left after I did and from what I heard this morning, they went to DJ's house and will be quite busy with each other until Monday ... of next week! Congrats to Sara and DJ Mickle on tying the knot this past saturday! WOOOT!!

Ahhh... I didn't have anywhere to go Saturday night either. I stayed the night with a few friends at their apartment in Fredricksburg. I really didn't (and still don't) care that their apartment was 42 miles north of Richmond (in the opposite direction of Hampton). I still had a great time and I have to thank Mike and his wife to be (i have this thing about names. I can't seem to remember them!) for letting me sleep on their couch (which was very comfy I might add). The 124 mile drive home wasn't too bad. It took 3 hours of my life to complete but it was a relaxing 3 hours - I'm not complaining.

I outta words

Heh heh heh.... I hate AOL! I find myself going to friends houses to update my site here. It only takes about 4 hours to upload 20 megs of stuff. Really, that isn't that much for a dinky little site like this one here. But then something special happens! Something so stupid that only aoHell can pull off! They say that since I - a fellow user of the damned service - spent 3 hours uploading stuff, that I am a hacker or something and they lock out every account my parents have. Then my parents spend half an hour getting it all back. The real kicker is that AOL gives some lame excuse about someone trying to hack our account. Too bad, I went to a friends and uploaded EVERYTHING again - it took a total of 5 minutes - so I guess everything is kosher again. Well, except the damned prefs for AOL - they reset all those too - so now I get to spend another week of arguing with my 'rents trying to get them to let me use IE instead of the slow-ass AOL browser. It also took about half an hour for me to figure out how to get the stupid "RED" thing to go away. All the damned thing did was slow the computer down! I had talk to the live AOL support people and ask them how to shut off "RED". But that wasn't the end of it - I had to ask them 4 times to tell me. They kept rattling on about features I'd never use and shit I wasn't interested in! Besides the IE thing, it's all fixed.

Ahhhhh! I feel better!

Guess what! I actually updated my ENTIRE website! It's amazing! It actually looks cohearant from page to page! I think it looks cool. The graphics were fun to make too. There are new wallpapers, music, programs and anything else I could cram into my 20 megs of free webspace here at AngelFire. When I first started to remake the site, I thought I had 30 megs. Well, I used to have 30 megs. I dunno when the next update will be. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens eh?

This here is my little place on the net that I can call home. I'll update it from time to time. Don't expect anything daily, weekly, monthly, whatever.... sometimes life just gets in the way. Well, enough of me talking here....

Enjoy!
