~Tracy's point of view~
I sat down on the floor, unable to comprehend all that I'd found out. It was too late for this. Amy was sitting in the closet with headphones on, not wanting to speak to anyone right now. Howie was laying on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
"Can I come in?" Kevin knocked on the door.
"No." I said.
"Please?"
"No."
"You need to talk to him sometime," Howie pointed out, gently.
"Urgh... fine. Whatever."
Kevin came in and Howie left, glaring at him before he closed the door.
"Well?" I asked him.
"Well what?" Kevin said, uneasily.
"Well, you're the low-down, freak who cheated on me, you do the talking."
"We never wanted to hurt you and Howie…"
"Oh, well that's nice to know," I said, sarcastically, rolling my eyes.
"That's why we went out tonight…"
"Yeah right. That makes sense."
"We wanted to see if we really did have feelings for each other before we did anything drastic," Kevin explained.
"So you don't consider lying and sneaking away from me so you can go make-out with Jennifer drastic?"
"Excuse me? We didn't go and make-out places!"
"So you didn't kiss her?"
Keving sputtered. "Uh… well… only like… twice… the first time it was an accident though."
"Oh, I see. So she just fell into your face?"
"Could you stop being sarcastic for one minute and just talk to me?"
"Why? You haven't been talking to me for who knows how long!"
"Look… I made a mistake…"
"Me too. I went out with you. But a mistake doesn't become an error until you refuse to fix it."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
It took me a few seconds to be able to say what I wanted to say. Even now, as mad as I was at him, it hurt. "We're through."
~Howie's point of view~
It took all I had in me not to punch Kevin right then and there. But I didn't want to become more like him. I didn't want to reduce myself to his level. So I went to AJ's room.
"I don't want to... oh, its just you," he said when I walked in.
"Sorry to disappoint you." I sat down next to him on his bed. "You okay?"
"Of course I am."
"Do I dare ask what happened with you and Amy?"
"I had to sit and listen to her flirt with some freak all night. What else is new." He shrugged.
"Like when you were flirting with that waitress at Mac and Bob's?"
"Man, why are you taking her side? I was NOT flirting with her!"
"Well Amy would probably say she wasn't flirting with whoever the dude was."
"Point being?" AJ started looking annoyed.
"My point is, you both flirt with everyone else. And you both get jeolous when the other person does it. Thats why your so perfect for eachother. We have enough fights going on right now without your irrelevant one."
"If I told you maybe your right, could you stop talking like one of the Tanner's on Full House?"
"Does somebody need a hug?" I flashed a quirky grin.
"Man, your starting to go postal or something! Get away from me!"
he got up.
"Where you going?"
"If you must know... I'm going to go make-up with my chick."
I smiled. That was one relationship fixed. But too bad two others, including mine, were probably past repair.
