Chapter 37

~Kevin’s point of view~

I sat beside Tracy in a booth. Howie and Jennifer were across from us.
“That video was so awesome! Although we all look like losers!” Tracy commented.
“That’s not hard for you!” Jennifer laughed. “Just kidding,” she added, when Tracy gave her an evil look.

I looked at Jennifer’s blonde hair. She was so beautiful…
‘Stop it Kev!’ I scolded myself. ‘You’ve got a great girlfriend!’

Lately I hadn’t been able to get Jen out of my mind.
“Kevin! Earth to Kevin!” Tracy was waving her hand in front of my face. “Your zoning out on us! Tired?”
“Huh? Oh yeah. That kind of happens when you get 4 hours sleep!”

We had just been told by Lou Pearlmen today that we were gonna be on the Jay Leno show tomorrow. Of course, that was awesome. It’d be our first time on the show. Finally some recognition in this country! But I was getting sick of us being told where we “had” to be when. Management was getting more and more demanding. Hadn't they heard of notice?

~Amy’s point of view~
“What was that?” I demanded.
“What?” AJ asked, sheepishly.
“Now your scoping out the waitress?”
“What? I was Not scoping out Kelli!” AJ said.
“Oh, your even on a first name basis with her! And you were flirting with her the whole while she was taking our orders!” I screamed.
“Stop it! Your making a scene!” He looked around at other tables.
“Would you like us to go sit with Brian and Erin?” Nick asked. He and Heather were staring at us.
“No, it’s okay.” AJ told them.

~Two Day’s Later~

~Erin’s point of view~
“Good luck!” I told Brian. We were backstage and they were about to go out and sing on the Jay Leno show. “You’ll do great.”
“I know,” he said confidently.
“Jeez, someone has a lot of pride,” I laughed, giving him a long kiss. “Now go sing your heart out.”

I took a seat in the audience next to Heather and Jennifer.
“Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the fastest rising vocal group in the United States… the Backstreet Boys..” Jeno said.

The music started. They, of course, never missed a beat.
“I’ve tried to hide it so that no one knows, but I guess it shows, when you look into my eyes. What you did and where your coming from, I don’t care…As long as you love me baby…” Brian sang the 3rd verse, and waved to my section of the audience.
“Have I ever mentioned I Love his wave!” I grinned to no one in particular.

“Good job guys. By the way, we’re doing Saturday Night Live on tomorrow. Plane leaves tomorrow at 7:30.” Lou told the guys that night in the hotel lobby.
“You book a gig 24 hours in advance?” Kevin asked.
“No, we’ve had this booked for months.” Lou replied.
“Well why didn’t anyone tell us?” AJ wondered.
“Sorry, I guess they forgot to tell you.” Lou shrugged. “Get a good night’s sleep, I want you in this lobby by 6 tomorrow morning.”

Groans erupted. Followed by withdrawn agrees.
The crowd headed towards the hotel rooms. I turned to Brian.“I don’t know how you guys do it! They have you in a different place everynight!” I told Brian. “Any chance you’ll have anymore time off this summer? School starts back up in 4 weeks.”
“That soon?”

He opened the frontdoor of the hotel open for me. We started to step outside.
“OHMIGOSH! Its Brian!” someone screamed.
“B-rok!I love you! Marry me!” came another voice.
“Thank Heaven for Kevin!”

‘Tell me she knows the difference between Brian and Kevin.’ I thought.

Those three girls alerted the another 50.
Brian smiled and waved and then shut the door. “How about we talk inside!” he suggested.
"Good idea."
