Leighann and AJ were now cuddling in each other’s arms. AJ was singing to Leighann and she was just listening to his heartbeat.
“Hey, what time is our reservations for?” Leighann asked.
“At 8, I think.”
“We better go on and get up so we won’t be late.” She said getting up.
“You know you could go like that and I wouldn’t mind.” (She was only wearing a baby tank and underwear.)
“I’m sure you wouldn’t care but what would you say about all those other guys looking at me in my underwear?”
“Uh, maybe the getting dressed part is a good idea even though I’m gonna have to beat those other guys off with a stick dressed or not. Damn, you’re beautiful Leighann.”
“Aww, that is so sweet! Yvonne tells me I’m pretty a lot, I guess because I get kind of low on myself sometimes but from you, it sounds so much better.”
“Well Yvonne’s wrong and right. You may be PRETTY to her, but to me, you’re beautiful.”
“Thank you, this means a lot.” And she gave him a kiss. “I am going to get ready, see you in a bit.” She went to find me to help her get ready. Well, she found me in the bedroom with Nick being ‘grown up’.
“Well, well, well, aren’t we just having fun?” she said turning on the lights.
“As a matter of fact, we were. Now what is it?” I asked.
“Put on some cloths and help me get ready.”
“Sure.” I grabbed the closest thing I saw, which was Nick’s cloths and ran to help Leighann. After Nick realized I had his cloths, he took the sheets and wrapped them around him, when he came out the room, AJ busted out laughing, not only because he looked doofy, but also he wasn’t exactly covered all the way. I ran up and fixed his little problem.
“Oh, thanks, I knew I felt funny back there.” The others just busted out laughing.
“We have to watch you Nick, first the prince thing, now this!” Leighann giggled.
“Hey, the prince thing wasn’t my idea and it was the best I could do.”
“I know, I know, I was only kidding.”
“Hey AJ, you better get going or you’ll be late.”
He hopped in the shower, out, got dressed, groomed and ready to go within 10 minutes. They looked like two movie stars. Leighann fit the dress perfectly. It was a black silk dress with a split to the thigh and precisely placed sequins with cute strappy heels. Her hair was done in this cute soft ringlets and makeup done just right. AJ was wearing a forest green summer suit patton leather shoes and his trademark shades.
“You two look so cute! I wish I had some film!” I cried.
“You all go on and have fun now!” Nick smiled. “Cause Yvonne and I won’t miss you one bit!”
“I know right!”
“Okay madam, shall we?” AJ said as he extended his arm.
“Yes sir, bye guys, BEHAVE!”
“We will, just enjoy yourselves.” I said.
“Bye!” said Nick.
“Alright, are you ready to go on our date?” asked Nick.
“Sure, lets just get some warm cloths on.”
We changed and headed for our spot. We got there and lit a few candles. We just sat there staring at each other for awhile.
“So are you hungry?” I asked.
“Not really, you?”
“No, not really, I just want to sit here and enjoy my time with you but it is getting kind of chilly.”
“Come here, I’ll keep you warm.” I moved over and leaned against his chest while he wrapped his arms around me. I immediately felt warm, not because of the heat but all the love I felt for him
“Nick, would you sing to me?” I asked.
“Okay, what do you want to hear?”
“How about, ‘I Need You Tonight’?” I said.
“Sure.”
He began singing in the most angelic voice that I have ever heard.
------MEANWHILE------
“This is really sweet of Yvonne and Nick, this is so romantic.” Leighann said.
“Yeah, I couldn’t imagine spending it with anybody else.”
The restaurant was very average size with plenty of space between the tables for privacy. The only source of light was candles. Each table contained only two chairs on each side of a small round table. While couples ate and talked, a violinist played soft romantic tunes in the background. A perfect place for two people in love as AJ and Leighann.
“This is great, I’m so glad I am with you.” Leighann gushed. Just then, the waiter came up.
“We’ll have the shrimp platter-one that is.” AJ ordered.
“Yes sir, anything to drink?”
“Brandy.” AJ replied.
As they ate and talked, Leighann realized she was totally in love. She couldn’t explain it. It was something she felt deep in her heart. She had to be with this guy for the rest of her life.
