“So, uh, do you, um, well I don’t know how to say this…” Nick stuttered.
“Just say it, don’t be scared.”
“Okay, do like me as much as Leighann likes AJ?” he asked blushing.
“That depends on if you like me as much as AJ does Leighann.”
“Well, of course I do. You are like no one else. You remind me of someone…”
“You?”
“Yeah, yeah, me.” He said grinning.
“I kind of noticed it too. You’re fun to talk to and fun to have around.”
“Thanks, that means a lot to me.”
“Yeah, well that is how I feel.” I sad sincerely.
“Hey, well I’ve got an idea. You said earlier that you were going to take me to you and Leighann’s secret spot, right?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Well, why don’t we have our own little dinner, only not at some fancy place with fancy cloths. A picnic type thing.”
“It’s going to be kind of chilly isn’t it?”
“I’ll be there to warm you up.” Nick grinned.
“Okay, sounds good to me, lets just tell the others where we’ll be at. Okay?”
“Okay.”
We got back to Leighann’s house and went to tell the two lovebirds about our surprise and show them our ‘gifts’.
“Hey guys, where have you been?” AJ asked.
“Well, we came up with a plan for you two, we went shopping and Yvonne got Leighann a cute dress and I got you a NORMAL suit.” Explained Nick.
“Okay, I don’t follow you.” Leighann said.
“We got reservations at this romantic restaurant. The reservations are at 8pm. So you have 3 hours, here are the directions.” I said handing them to AJ. “And while you two are gone, Nick and I will be on our own date.”
“Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!” said Leighann as she hugged me.
“Uh, you can let me go so I can breath!” I said as everyone laughed.
“I know what she could do for me.” Said AJ.
“And what might that be?” Leighann asked.
“Well, since Nick has a love slave, I feel kind of left out.”
“Well then master, your every wish is my command!”
AJ and Leighann went back upstairs for some more ‘tattoo studying’ and left Nick and I alone.
“Um, Yvonne, I wanted to ask you something, it’s kind of important.”
“Sure, what is it?”
“Well, what are you planning to do after you finish school?”
“Well, I’m not sure. I haven’t given it much thought. So nothing as of yet. Why?”
“You know AJ, me and the others are getting ready for another tour. So, AJ is now asking Leighann the same thing and since the other guys are bringing their girlfriends along, I was wondering if you would like to come along?” Nick asked.
“Yeah, I’d love to. Does that mean I’m your girlfriend?”
“Only if you want to be.”
“I would be honored to be.”
About then, Leighann ran from upstairs smiling and asking what my answer was.
“I said yes, I’d rather be with Nick anyway.”
“Great, now we’ll be together!” she squealed. “Now if you will excuse me, my master needs me, see you later.” She disappeared into the dark room and shut the door.
“Hey, lets go fix our picnic basket Nicky.”
“Okay, race ya!”
We took off to the kitchen to fix our dinner of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. But while we had peanut butter and jelly on our minds, Leighann and AJ had other thoughts.
“I know what would be so romantic?” Leighann said getting up to light candles and put in ‘Lay Down Beside Me’. As the tune began, AJ started singing and grabbed her hand to dance. Somehow or another the cloths went their separate ways from them and the windows got a bit steamy. They were so into it that they didn’t even hear the giggles coming from the door.
“I knew AJ wouldn’t be able to behave himself!” Nick laughed.
“I see, or should I say hear?!” I giggled.
“No fair, they are having all the fun and, well, um lets play some Nintendo!” Nick said heading to the living room.
“I have a better idea,” I said mischievously.
“Like what? What’s better than Nintendo?”
“Like this.” I said sweetly kissing him on the lips.
“Gotta do better than that!” he said still reaching for the controls. So I did it more passionately this time and longer.
“Nope, still not better!” he laughed obviously being that way on purpose.
“How about this big boy?!” I said pushing him back onto the bed and giving him all I had. This time, I won!
“Hey, this works!” he said reaching for the lights and whispering in my ear, “Let’s grow up for awhile.”
“Fine with me."
