and the knowledge of the holy is understanding."
(Proverbs 9:10)

The Glory of the Incarnation:
The Word Made Flesh

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. . . . And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:1-3,14)

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (1 Timothy 3:16)

When we are tempted to foolish boasting it is good to remember the words of Paul the Apostle in Galatians 6:14 (NKJV):

"But God forbid that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified unto me, and I to the world."

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." (Psalm 14:1)

The rich fool (Luke 12:16-21).

A wise man and a foolish man (Matthew 7:24-27).

Judgment Day is coming, Hebrews 9:27, Ecclesiastes 12:14, Psalm 96:13. The Crucified One will judge all mankind, John 5:22, 26-27, Acts 17:30-31, Revelation 20:11-15. Are you ready? Have your sins been washed away in the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ? (1 Peter 1:18-21, 1 John 1:7-10)

"Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." (Proverbs 27:1)

Today is the day of salvation; there is no promise of tomorrow, 2 Corinthians 6:2.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a Man lay down His life for His friends." (John 15:13); "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren." (1 John 3:16). To read 1 John 4:9-11, Click Here

"A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter." (Proverbs 11:13); see Proverbs 16:28.

"A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul." (Proverbs 18:7)

The destiny of the wicked, unless they repent and are converted, Psalm 9:17, Psalm 55:7.

Respond to the Holy Spirit's convictionby repentance toward God, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Proverbs 29:1, Acts 17:30-31, 16:29-34.

"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain." (James 1:26)

Wisdom and Bridling the Tongue (James 3)

"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." (Proverbs 20:1)

"He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool." (Proverbs 10:18)

"It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom." (Proverbs 10:23)

"Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins." (Proverbs 10:12)

"Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools." (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
