CHARACTER PROGRESSION
VtM Character Sheet

THE EARLY YEARS
I began my mortal existance on November 4th, 1075 as Princess Ashla Tinir the adopted daughter of Kasla Tinir a wealthy King who had a lust for making enemies.
In 1090, when I was 15 years old, a great war broke out in my country and my mother, Ashika Tinir was taken hostage by the ememy and slaughtered along with my 3 brothers. This was done to pay for my father's crimes against the enemy. Why I was spared still remains a mystery. Filled with hatred towards my father, I fled my homeland and wandered for many years.
I learned many things and was hardened by my experiences. Fending for myself was the greatest lesson of all. As a Princess, I had been sheltered from anything which may have harmed me and never had to fend for myself. In this world ...survival was a different story....

SKILL DEVELOPMENT

My first encounter was with a band of theives who sought to rob, kill and do who knows what else to me. I was walking along the beach, pondering all that had happened to me when suddenly, I was knocked to the ground. My bag containing all of my possessions was ripped from my arms and emptied onto the sand. Searching for anything of value, the thieves destroyed what they did not want including my only pictures of my Mother and brothers. Finding that I possessed nothing of value, they beat me to a bloody pulp and left me for dead... The next morning I awoke to find myself in severe pain and barely able to move. I managed to upright myself and crawl to a nearby cave to escape the pounding rain and stinging sand. In a few hours I had somehow regained enough strength to find nourishment and be on my way once again. This time as I travelled, I exercised caution and stayed far away from others. I wandered for what seemed like months... all the while trying to figure out what it was that I wanted to do with my newfound freedom .....

ENCOUNTERS WITH THE UNDEAD
The year was 1100, I had lived a mere 25 mortal years and had fought many battles to defend myself from those who wished to bring me harm. After one such battle, I sought refuge in what seemed to be an abandoned building. As I entered I realized that this was not abandoned but some sort of Haven. The creatures here were as I had never seen before. They fascinated me with their beauty and power. The first creature I encountered was The Masque of Red Death. He took me in and told me that this Haven I had found was the Vampire Court.

He gave me a few drops of his ancient blood to Heal my wounds and told me stories of the Elders and Clans. I fell asleep in his arms feeling safe and cared for.

THE EMBRACE

I awoke with a terrible pain surging through my entire body...a craving that if not satisfied I thought I surely would perish. I cried out for Masque and when he came he told me that the infusion of Vampiric blood he had given me was too strong. He asked if I wished to join him in immortality...I did not hesitate..although I knew very little of the Kindred I knew that this was where I wanted to make my home and family.

When I awoke two days later...I realized that I was now a ghoul (not completly embraced) and once again alone, Masque had left the Court and had not been seen. Feeling a terrible hunger and Wondering what it was that I was to do next, I left the COurt and wandered the surrounding countryside for days. Trying to come to terms with my newfound powers and the need for living blood was not easy for me. I had no guidance and fumbled through my first few hunts with difficulty..leaving some victims still alive after I had drained them and others I tried to continue draining after their hearts had ceased to beat.. nearly killing myself.

Slowly I learned the ways of the hunt and how to maintain cloaked even when I sensed the presence of other immortals. This had been one of my inherited gifts. Although I had learned the basics of survival as an immortal, I still yearned for knowledge and needed to be guided as to how my powers could be used.

I returned to the Court to find that my Sire had indeed returned and was attempting to overthrow the Elders and rule the Court. Although I did not know much of the workings of this place I knew that what my Sire was doing was wrong...in every sense. I pleaded with hime to stop but he did not listen. I stood up and told him that I did not agree with what he was doing and that I disowned him and was no longer his daughter. I left the COurt in rage. When I returned, I discovered that Masque had dissapeared once again but this time into the fire. His attempt to overthrow the Court had been thwarted and he had chosed to end his immortality rather than be banished from the Court.

ON MY OWN AGAIN

Although I was saddened by the loss of my Sire, the members of the Court took me in and gave me great happiness. Kendo Tenshi and Prince Vassago taught me well about my powers, the responsibilities which came with them and what it meant to be Kindred. One evening, the spirit of Masque returned to speak with me. I still did not agree with what he had done and told him that I would rather have no Sire than to have one who was attempting to overthrow the Elders. This angered him and even though he was only in spirit form, he still possessed his powers. Masque cursed me and lashed out at me viciously, inflicting terrible wounds. Prince Vassago and Kendo Tenshi came to my aid and cast out Masque. They attempted to heal me but Masque had wounded me severly. Vassago and Kendo took me in under their wings once again while I healed. As a result of this attack, I aquired a protector of sorts..I shall introduce you to him now..May I introduce Tor.....
Tor....

He appeared to me as a guardian and since, has accompanied me on all of my journeys and acted as my protector from those who may wish harm upon me.. Kendo and Vassago both offered to infuse me with their ancient blood and restore my immortality to me. In the end it was to be Kendo Tenshi who would be my Sire in my "rebirth" into the immortal world. I was to be bestowed the honour of being Kendo's Firstborne. My embracement was powerful, beautiful and something I will never forget. This is how I came to be Ashla Tenshi. Kendo has been a wonderful sire to me and guided me in the ways of the Kindred as well as in the ways of battle. Although I do not often use them,Kendo gave me great fighting skills and I can now easily defend myself if need be.

I now reside within the walls of the Vampire Court as a COurt Warrior protecting the sanctity of Our sactuary. I shallcontinue my teachings with my Sire. Because of my past, I have chosen to remain Childeless for the time being. As my first sire is dead and Kendo is clanless, I will remain a Caitiff, for I was never borne into a clan. I seek to protect immortals who are in danger. I have advised many mortals seeking immortality about the responsibilities of the Kindred and the dangers of choosing a Sire in haste. This is my nature. I will not bring a mortal into our world unless I am sure that they are ready for embracement and that I am ready to accept the responsibilities which come with becoming a Sire.

THE TRUTH

Ashla appeared in the Vampire Court to be a kind, gentle loving incividual..but this was mearly a facade. Her true nature is that of a coldhearted killer. Realizing that she could not longer fight her true nature, she followed her calling and joined the Sabbat. Ashla Tenshi died during the Creation Rites..to learn more about Mistress Ashla Tenir..follow the link on the first page.
