To Become A Member:

Qualifications:

1. Be eighteen years of age or older
2. Be a resident of Taber
3. Be of good character
4. Pass the security screening required by the Taber Police Service
5. Satisfy the program coordinator of your genuine commitment to the deterrence of unlawful activity in the community
6. Abide by the rules and requirements of the patrol
7. Be available to participate in patrols of Town Of Taber

Training Requirements:

Each prospective patrol member is required to undergo a training seminar. The training provides information on observation techniques, incident reporting, note taking, traffic direction and the mandate and rules of the patrol.

Information will be provided on proper deportment and your role with the police and the community

Termination of an applicant may occur if the applicant does not meet the training requirements

Membership Requirements:

Members of the patrol are required to contribute a minimum of one shift every two months.

Members are further required to participate in additional training as directed by the program coordinator.
