Mormon Trail, 1847
The LDS Church has now created a detailed list of companies traveling the Mormon Trail between 1847 and 1868. The site contains lists of individuals for each company. Jesse and Hannah Crosby were in the Daniel Spencer/Perrigrine Sessions company of 1847. Another section lists those individuals from each company who were known to keep a trail journal, including extracts. All of the journals for the Daniel Spencer company are located here, including entries for Jesse.

Lowell, Massachusetts
Jesse Wentworth Crosby served as President of the Lowell, MA branch of the LDS church from December of 1844 to March of 1845. This is possibly where he met his first wife, Hannah Elida Baldwin. The following site contains a list of Lowell branch members from 1835-1850. The brief sketch of Hannah contains one or two small errors.
