WIFE'S RESPONSIBILITY
OK, NOW WE ARE GOING TO GET TO A SUBJECT THAT A LOT OF WOMEN AND MEN AND CHURCHES AVOID!!!!
JUST EXACTLY WHAT IS THE WIFE'S RESPONSIBILITY?????
Well First of all--The wife's responsibility is to allow the husband to be the Spiritual Head of the household. That she is to submit to his leadership.
Secondly, a woman is not to hold a position of authority over a man in either the home or the church. (1 Timothy 2:11-15; 1 Corinthians 14:34-35)
Thirdly, A woman is to be a "worker at home" and not out in the work force! (Titus 2:3-5; 1 Timothy 2:14-15)
Let's examine these one by one
Husband the Head of the Household:
Adam was created first, and Eve was created to be a "helper suitable" for Adam. They had perfect harmony in the Garden of Eden until sin entered through satan. Because they chose (sin is a choice) to sin, they fell out of fellowship with God. Which brought upon them--death, hard earth (thorns and thistles) to work, pain in childbirth and it also created a "Power struggle" between husband and wife. Wives are to glorify and submit to the husband and to Christ. The husband is to glorify Christ, cherish, sacrifice for, nourish and love the wife as Christ does. God wants the husband and wife to be one in Him--One unit--glorifying God.
The wife is to Do and say things that build the husband up and never tear him down
The wife is to Dress and apply make-up in an attractive manner that is pleasing to her husband
The wife is to Reprove her husband privately and lovingly when he is in sin and point him back to the Lord
The wife is to Encourage her husband to use his spiritual gifts in ministry
The wife is to Realize that God is glorified when she obeys him and her husband is glorified when she obeys him
THE WIFE IS NOT TO HOLD POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY OVER MEN IN THE HOME OR CHURCH
The Bible clearly states that women are not to hold positions of authority over men in the home or church(1 Timothy 2:11-13) Many women find this scripture to not apply to them and that is why there are so many "ordained" female ministers/pastors--etc. It is unbiblical for any woman to be in a teaching authority over a man in the Church. She can not shepherd a flock, if she was able to then God would have made Eve the ruler over the earth, animals etc. instead of Adam. God loves the woman as much as the man, however, remember who was deceived by satan and took the first bite of the apple in the garden?? Adam sinned, but was not deceived when he ate of the apple. The woman was not designed to lead, (however in scriptures in the Bible, some women DID lead) She was designed to be a wife/mother. A womans emotional and psychological make-up are geared to this. Most of the false and pagan cults were started by women. Today, you will find (like in the Bible) that women are taking positions of leadership for one main reasn: SOME MEN ARE WEAK AND THEY ARE FAILING TO TAKE THEIR PLACE OF LEADERSHIP. When this happens, women are forced to be strong and take on these roles. BUT IT IS NOT WHAT GOD INTENDED!! In Judges 4, DEBORAH became a judge in Israel--WHY? Because no man would assume his responsibility, and God's will shall be done and He will use a woman if He must. But Deborah clearly realized that this was not right or natural and "she told Barak that it would result in shame upon his name" (Judges 4:9) God found no willing man to do His will--so He used a brave, willing woman. Also, in Acts 21:8-9, you will learn about the Daughters of Philip--they were prophetesses--but because God gives gifts of prophecy to women, by no means does it mean they are free to take authority over a church. The women's ministry is to be focused on teaching women and children.
A WIFE SHOULD BE A "WORKER AT HOME"
What is a "worker at home"?---It is someone who guards the dwelling or is a keeper of the household, one who is employed at home.
The feminists, in trying to live in a man's world, have taken the role of women lower then they have ever been. Could it be that it is women who have started the moral decline in America? Not only is it a departure of God's design for the home for women to work, but it also affects the work of the Lord. Titus 2:3-5 states that women are to Teach the younger women, love their husbands, love their children, be keepers at home, and be obedient to their husbands, that the Word of God not be blasphemed. When a married woman works in the work force and someone else is taking care of her children, when the laundry is not done, the house uncleaned, the family fed unhealthy foods, when bringing in part of the income develops a womans spirit of independence, then the Word of God is being blasphemed!!!
Many things have contributed to the moral decline of America, but the mother out in the work force, leaving her children and husbands to fend for themselves, has a large part to do with it. If moms were home with their children, there after their children got out of school---Would there be so many children committing crimes, suicide etc??? NO absolutely NO!!!!
Women are not "non-persons" when they stay at home, they are fufilling one of their God-given ministries. So what happens if you need the money? It is the husbands responsibility to provide for the family's financial needs. If you are living "outside" of your income, then you need to make sacrifices in order to live within it. If the husband demands that you work, then you should submit to that UNLESS you can show him that you would be sinning in doing so--What I mean there is that if YOU go out to work, allowing your husband to be irresponsible or lazy, then you are sinning against God. It normally costs more for a woman to work then it does for her to stay home--in regard to "day care, hurried meals or fast food, gasoline, time spent with husband/children" She comes home exhausted and unable to care for her household, children, husband and most other responsibilities. STAYING HOME does not mean you can sit around and watch "soap operas" all day. You are to be a "worker" and that means keeping the household in order, children in order, taking care of husbands needs. There is TOO much to list here that a woman's work involves!!
