WARRIORS ASSIST TOMAHAWKS IN SUMMER CLINIC Earlier this summer, the Warriors held their annual summer clinic for the Tehachapi Youth Football Tomahawks, teaching their younger brothers some basic techniques and skills that will be needed on the varsity level. The clinic could not have been possible without the generous support of the sponsors Benz Sanitation, Lehigh Southwest Cement Co, CCPOA, Terra-Gen, Bank of the Sierra, 'hachapi Tees, Tehachapi Minute Serve Dairy, Albertsons, Save Mart, Sears and True Gems by JoAnne Kramer.
For those that are
interested, long and short sleeve t-shirts will be available for sale as
a fundraiser for the Tomahawk program. The shirt has Warriors and
Tomahawk logos with the wording "Team, Tradition, Toughness - Future
Warriors" on the front and "Tehachapi Football Nation - One Tribe" on
the back. T-Shirts can be purchases by contacting John Kramer at
822-9020. Below are some highlights and pictures from the event:
Learning from the Legend - The Tomahawk Football players listen intently to Coach Steve Denman as he emphasizes the importance of hard work, dedication, and tradition of Mountain Football, with 2011 Varsity Warriors standing in the background.
Stressing Defense - Warrior standout linebacker Adam Bullard teaches positioning to the young Tomahawks.
Drills to Improve - Varsity players Cory Lange (left) and Chris Coontz (right) run through plays at the Warrior Football Clinic.
Practice Makes Perfect- Sergio Garcia (#3) and Troy Mathews (#67) instruct between plays at the Warrior-Tomahawk Clinic. GO WARRIORS! |
