Seta made an official entrance to the series in Episode 14, however it is only at Episode 15 that he met Naru. He is a professor and specializes in the field of archaeology of a turtle civilization [now to think of it, the author probably likes turtles]. He is usually being addressed as Seta-san, and Sara calls him papa. He used to be the Naru's tutor, that is when Naru falls in love with him (however, Seta doesn't seem to at all notice).

Seta gets involved in vehicle accidents quite often. It isn't unusual to see him getting out of his overturned van bleeding on his forehead, yet he will smile and assume nothing has happened [he is probably used to it anyway]. Seta's a very good fighter too, even Motoko loses to him.

Seta's a good-natured person, and travels around the world to dig the ground. He doesn't seem to get the hints from Naru though. On one occasion, Keitaro told Seta that Naru likes Seta, Seta smiles and admits he like Naru too. However, much to Naru's dismay, Seta added he likes Keitaro too.
