Mutsumi's official debut appearance is in Episode 06. Mutsumi is a rather physically weak character. Her talents include fainting and forgetting things. She can be viewed as Naru's love rival, she claims to be Keitaro's promise girl. She has a turtle, or at least she used to have a turtle - Tama. She has the ability to understand the turtle's speech. Mutsumi likes telling story about Lo-kun's adventures and remembers faintly that she used to have a Lo-kun soft toy. Lo-kun is probably a cartoon shown in the television when they were young.

She is very much like Keitaro, highlighted in Episode 06. Like Keitaro, she enjoys introducing places of interest. She kept apologizing too. I can't help but to find her rather cute. She doesn't stay in Hinata Inn, but is still considered as a major character. Unlike Naru, she doesn't mind being touched by Keitaro at all. There are many of these accidents that sent Keitaro flying to a distance by Naru's punches. I have to admit, this is one of my favourite characters.
