The Hinata girls
thought that this trip was a lover’s escape;
they left for Kyoto to find Keitaro and
Naru.
Keitaro start introducing the Kyoto train station to Naru, only to get a bad scolding in return. They met with a girl named Mutsumi Otohime who is the same girl Keitaro met at Episode 05. Mutsumi fainted again [why of course]. It turns out that Mutsumi failed the Tokyo University entry 3 times and somehow chose to visit Kyoto. Mutsumi is like the female version of Keitaro. They are both clumsy and often end up doing similar things.
Naru decides that
they should bring Mutsumi back to Okinawa.
Instead of travelling to Okinawa, they travelled
to Nagoya. On their way, Mutsumi and Keitaro
start introducing places of interest.
Meanwhile, Motoko and Kitsune are trying to earn more money in Nagoya to continue their journey and they spot Keitaro and Naru. The trio (that is Keitaro, Naru and Mutsumi) board a truck to travel back only to find themselves at Sendai, somewhere further away from Okinawa.
Kaolla thought that Kyoto is Sendai and ended up in Sendai with Shinobu, they spot Keitaro and Naru in the truck. But it does not mark the end of the trio’s journey; the truck passed Sendai and proceeds to Tanoshimo at the other corner of Japan.
The trio then took
a cruise ship back to Okinawa. Mutsumi claimed
that Keitaro confessed that he likes Naru.
As Mutsumi’s place is a little further from Okinawa, they set out on an inflated boat to travel there. Later, there was a bad storm, and they were washed up an island. Naru was upset when she saw Mutsumi kissing Keitaro. Motoko, Kitsune, Shinobu and Kaolla went to the island to look for Keitaro and Naru. Mutsumi also discovers that this island isn’t any abandon island; it is actually the back of her residence.
In the end, everything
went well. Before leaving, Mutsumi plants
a kiss on Naru’s lip for appreciation. Mutsumi
gives a turtle, Tama-chan, to Naru as a parting gift.
Comments: This is indeed one of the most complicated episodes as it involves almost all the characters and a lot of different places. Did I also mention that this is around 100 words more than the average episode synopsis?
