To create a HUMMER you can't just have one of those ratty old chassis. The H2 uses a welded, ladder type frame with full length, box section side rails and three piece modular design consisting of front, middle and rear sections.

The front section is hydro formed, making it strong enough to support a 4082kg (9000 lb.) capacity winch in the integral receiver mount. It allows you to affix a trailer hitch in that mount and easily “nose” a trailer into a garage or parking space. The mid section is fabricated and welded, stamped steel, box segment that helps minimize vibrations for a more comfortable ride. The hydro formed, short rear section is reinforced to handle the weight of a fully loaded H2. It features and integral trailer hitch receiver certified to tow 3039kg (6700 lb.).
