Medina Kayaks and
River Ranch is a great place to get away from it all
and enjoy your summer camping trip. This camp offers
private camping on a four acre island with 1/2 a mile
of the Medina River running through it.
Activities
include kayaking (rentals available), swimming, exploring,
and birding. Kayaking down the river amongst the tall
trees is sure to be a pleasing experience. At
only $20.00 per site for 4 people, you cannot
beat the price of this Texas island getaway. Get away
from it all and enjoy a relaxing and fun camping trip.
For kayaking, water shoes or tennis shoes of some
type are a must to protect your feet during portages.
T-shirts, hats and sun screen with water and a snack
are highly recommended.
Directions:
Medina is 13 miles north of Bandera on Hwy 16. Starting
at the Medina Post Office continue 3.4 miles north
on Hwy 16, turn right on Haley Lane, where you will
see a kayak on the fence. Follow the MK&RR signs
along the 3/4 mile dirt drive and through the purple
posts.
