	Understand Yourself

We are made of different layers of being, the four levels of the Psyche. In able to understand ourselves we must rediscover our True Self.

What are the four levels?

1	Conscious	Middle Realm	Middle Self	Physical Reality	Reasoning Action
2	Subconscious	Lower Realm	Low Self or Child Self	Imagination, Symbols & Images	Unreasoning Action
3	Unconscious	Lower Realm (Deeper)	Animal Self	Automatism	Instinct “fight or flight”
4	Superconscious	Higher Realm	High Self	Spirit or Soul	Protector & Guardian

Job 32: 8. But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Philosophers offer hope, Religionists offer faith, Spiritualists offer comfort, but the answers we seek are WITHIN.

We must look within our self.

Psalm 51:6. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Proverbs 2:3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

What do these four levels contain?

1	Surface Mind	Conditioned by environment (parents, education system, culture, society)	Engages physical awareness	The External Mind
2	Seat of Conscience	Conditioned by “Right” & “Wrong”	Acts on instructions from the Middle Self	The place of becoming Only sees positive (For example: it interprets “I will not gain weight” as “I will gain weight.” Therefore should be “instructed as “I will lose weight” or “My weight will stay the same.”)
3	Automatic Function	Programmed by genetics	Controls breathing, heart beat, etc.	Self-preservation & Survival Acts instinctively.
4	Spirit Self or True Self	Timeless & Eternal	Creative Power	The Great Spirit within us. The Internal Mind

We must listen to our Internal Mind to know the truth about ourselves. In order to do this, we must silence the outside world and truly listen.

Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost,
which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart.
Doctrine and Covenants 8:2

Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

1 Kings 19:12 ...a still small voice.

Psalms 4:4 …commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still.

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God:

"Still" = Quiet, calm, hushed, untroubled

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Our Spirit Self/G-D speaks to us in many ways.

through our thoughts
through conversations with others
through circumstances
through signs and omens

through reading

These signs are often ignored, or thought of as coincidence.

Listen to that "still, small voice" and you will know the way, you will understand your True Self.
