Our Journey with Autism
Sunday, February 27, 2005
First Entry
Mood:  not sure
Welcome to my blog. I'm kinda new at this, so I hope I do okay. My husband and I have been married for almost 7 years. We have two beautiful children. Our daughter, C.E., is 6 years old and neurotypical. Our son, C.J., is 4 years old and diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We have had a frustrating journey so far. CJ is very high functioning and getting the school to cooperate has been the hardest part so far. The school, so far, has done an illegal evaluation, lied to me about CJ being able to be in PPCD, and put me off again and again. But we deal with it just as we deal with everything else. I have thought about getting a lawyer, but atthis point, I feel like it would be pointless, since we have already lost a year of intervention and we'll never get that time back. Well, the kids are bouncing off the walls and ready for dinner. We're having cheese pizza, one of the few things CJ will eat without complaint.
