Chapter 55
“Nick, why are we here?”
“You’ll see.”
“Hey happy couple,” greeted Papa Wilson.
“Hey Papa. I didn’t see you two leave the party.”
“We are sneaky that way,” commented Mama Wilson. “Nick everything is set up.”
“Set up for what,” asked Katrina.
“Your honeymoon silly,” teased RJ.
“OK.”
“Kat let me explain,” started Nick. “The Wilson built a cabin by the waterfall and they are letting us use it for our honeymoon.”
“Oh you guys,” exclaimed Kat as she hugged the older couple.
“Shoot think nothing of it,” replied RJ.
“Now you two get on Raven and skidaddle. We will hide the car in the barn. We will see you when you decide to join civilization again. The phones are hooked up. Call if you need anything.”
“Thank you both,” said Nick as he too hugged them.
As the couple disappeared over the knoll, RJ said, “Won’t they be surprised when they see the note and paperwork.”
“Yes they will be,” replied Betty.
“It’s good to know my prediction was right.”
“What prediction?”
“That they were a love connection.”
“True dear.”
“Come on woman let’s get this thing hid.”
“You know this is the first time I have ever ridden behind you," remarked Katrina.
“I know. It’s about time,” teased Nick.
“Oh I see how it’s going to be now that we are married.”
“And how’s that?”
“Wonderful,” sighed Kat. “Oh Nick, it’s beautiful!”
They had come to the clearing around the waterfalls. On the right side of the waterfall was a nice log home. RJ had cleared out just enough trees to give the builders room to build it. They dismounted and led Raven to a small corral. RJ had thought of everything. As they stepped up onto the lighted porch they noticed a note taped to the door and it said “READ BEFORE GOING INSIDE!!!" Nick opened it and they both read.
Betty and I hope you enjoy this cabin on your honeymoon. Now we thought and thought about a wedding present for you. We came up blank. Then one day we were out here having a swim and Betty remember Katrina telling her that this would be a great place for a cabin. So that got me to thinking. I decided to build a cabin here. OK I realize it’s now bigger than a cabin, but you two will need more room when you have kids running around.
In case you haven’t figured it out children, this is your wedding present from us. Now don’t argue with us. We wanted to do it. You two are very special to us. Besides now you have more of an excuse to come to visit. OFTEN as the wife says. Inside on the table is the deed in your names. If there is any part of the place you don’t like, well then change it. However, don’t worry about that tonight.
Heaven knows why you are still reading this on your wedding night. But since you are, Nick let me give some advice. Pick that girl up, carry her over the threshold and let the honeymoon begin.
Love you both,
Nick looked at Katrina and kissed her before she could speak. He ended the kiss and said, "Katrina don't think. We will think later…much later."
"OK," replied Kat with a smile. "Honeymoon now…think later."
She kissed Nick again as he lifted her into his arms. Opening they stepped inside. They broke the kiss and looked around trying to find the bedroom. When they found it Nick gently let Kat's feet touch the floor. They stared at each other in the moonlight streaming through the window.
Nick whispered, "Hi."
"Hi," whispered Kat.
Katrina unbuttoned Nick's shirt and slipped it off his shoulders. He pulled his shoes and socks off. Standing up, he stared at Kat's face as she removed the rest of his clothing. Katrina tangled her fingers in Nick's hair at the base of his neck. She pulled him in for a kiss. As Nick allowed his tongue to explore her mouth, he slid his fingers under the straps of her dress. He pulled the straps off her shoulders and let the dress fall to the floor. He pulled way from her and his breath caught in his throat as he saw what she was wearing.
"Kitten," he choked out.
"Well did you want me to wear nothing," asked an embarrassed Katrina.
"No. Kitten you look so sexy."
"Really?"
"Oh yeah."
Nick kissed the tip of her nose then turned her to face away from him. He took in the back of her and was blown away again. She was wearing a strapless bustier in white lace and matching panties. He unhooked the bustier, letting it fall to the floor. He then hooked his fingers in the panties and slid them down her legs. He let his hands trail up her body. He moved her hair to the side and began to kiss and nibble on the back of her neck. Kat leaned back into him sighing. Nick's hands rested lightly on her hips. Moving his mouth to her left ear, he moved his hands up to cup her breasts. He moaned against her ear as he felt her nipples harden. Katrina suddenly turned around and kissed him. Her hands roamed over his chest as she moved to his neck. It was Nick's turn to tangle his fingers in Kat's hair, when she kissed each of his nipples. Her hand strayed lower to brush against his hardness. Nick sighed her name as he felt her hand wrap around him. Kat felt her heart speed up more when she felt him thrust into her hand. Nick reached down and moved her hand. He brought her hand to his lips as she smiled up at him. She led him to the bed and climbed in. He followed her. He lay beside her. Brushing her hair out of her eyes, he leaned down for a tender kiss. His mouth moved lower along with his hand. He touched her wetness as his mouth closed on her nipple. As two of his fingers entered her, he gently bit down. Kat's hand immediately found their way to the back of his head as she arched into his mouth. He moved the other nipple and did the same. Katrina pulled his face up to hers and kissed him. Nick eased his weight onto her. Katrina brought her legs up to wrap around Nick's waist and he entered her. They both moaned as they began to move. They moved together gradually speeding up. Their moans getting louder. Finally, Nick thrust deeply into Kat as he felt her spasm around him. They gasp for air as he collapsed on her.
"Wow," giggled Kat.
"Wow is right," agreed Nick as he started to move off her.
"No," protested Katrina. "I'm not ready to let you go yet."
Nick growled, "Oh kitten."
"I love when you growl."
"Oh yeah?"
"Oh yeah!"
"Well then grrrrrr."
Katrina giggled again. Nick kissed her forehead then her nose and finally her lips. He rolled them so Kat was on top of him. She sat up and looked down at him. She lightly raked her nails down his body. He arched and growled again. She smiled as she gripped him inside her.
"Oh Nicky," moaned Kat.
"Yes Kitten."
"I love feeling you getting hard inside me."
"Oh Kitten."
Katrina watched Nick as she began to rock on him. She loved the way his feelings played across his face. She kept the same pace even after Nick begged her to speed up. She told him he wasn't playing fair when he moved his fingers to just above where their bodies came together. He played with her and finally she couldn't hold back. She sped up. Nick moaned loudly as his hips bucked up against her and he released. The feeling of Nick's release coupled with his fingers pushed her over the edge. This time Kat collapsed on Nick. Katrina moved to lay beside Nick with her head on his chest. He pulled the sheet over them.
"Mr. Carter I think this was an excellent start to our honeymoon."
"It was. Also it was a great start to the rest of our lives Mrs. Carter."
"Nick I love you."
"I love you too Kitten."
"So what do you think of starting of the family soon?"
"I think that is an excellent idea. I knew I married a smart woman," he said as they snuggled up and drifted off to sleep.
Chapter Epilogue
"So let me get this straight," said Beth's husband, Jeff. "This all started because of a midnight ride and someone looking for ghosts?"
"Yep," replied Katrina.
"And now I am part of a very unusual circle of friends."
"You sure are sonny," said Mama Wilson.
"I just wish Papa could be here," said Lissa.
"Child he is," replied Mama Wilson.
"So who all am I meeting? I know Puffy will be here. Will Jennifer also be here?"
"Yes. They defied the odds and remained friends. Love will be with her new guy."
"He was the assistant director on her last movie right?" asked Melissa's husband David, the accountant who caught the garter 6 years prior.
"Yes. I've seen a picture, very cute," replied Katrina.
"OK who else," asked Jeff, an advertising guy Beth met threw a friend in New York.
"Hmm. Well Kevin and Debbie should be here. Barring her going into labor. Brian and Tonya and their three. Howie will be here tomorrow with Connie and their little one. AJ and Jena are coming in tomorrow too."
"I think it is a hoot that they ran off to Vegas and were married by an Elvis impersonator," chuckled Mama Wilson.
Beth, Kat, and Lissa all said, "That's AJ."
Just then the door of the log home flew open and little blur with long curly blond hair ran came in the room. She followed closely by her father carrying her little brother.
"Lyric Renee slow down," scolded Nick.
"Daddy! Mama I want to be a ghost rider like you."
"I see your father has told you that story."
"Hey she asked how we met."
"Mama when can I"
"I don't know Lyric. I didn’t mean to be. If it's suppose to happen it will. Now did you have fun at Nana and Poppy's?"
"We had the best time. Can I go for a swim?"
"Can you wait until Thomas and the girls get here with Uncle Brian and Aunt Tonya?"
"Sure mom. I'll go play in my room."
"That's my girl," said Kat as she kissed her 5-year-old daughter on the head and sent her on her way.
"Hey we want kisses too," said Nick.
He walked over and leaned down. Katrina kissed him tenderly on the lips. She reached for her son and Nick sat on the floor next to Kat's chair. Katrina looked at her 1-year-old son. His hair was straight like his father, but dark like his mother's hair. He had her green eyes. Lyric had her dad's blue eyes.
"So Drew what do you think of all these people?"
"I think he likes the fuss," said Nick.
"Of course," said Mama Wilson. "Now give that boy to me."
"Here ya go," said Katrina as she handed Drew to the older woman.
"Can you all hold down the fort why I take my husband outside for a few moments?"
"Sure Sis."
Katrina pulled Nick up from the floor and led him outside. They climbed up the falls to get away from everyone. Katrina turned and kissed Nick.
"What was that for," he asked.
"For being you. You know you have made me so happy Nick."
"Kitten you've made me so happy too."
"I love our life. I just wanted to say thank you."
Nick kissed her and said, "Thank you and Kitten it's only going to get better. Even when it's not great it will still be OK, because we are going through it together."
"Yeah," sighed Kat.
Nick pulled out of the driveway, but headed in a different direction than Kat expected. As she started to ask, Nick shushed her. She shrugged and contented herself with staring at him. She could not remain silent when he turned into the Wilson’s driveway. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Carter,
Papa and Mama
