Borchi's Borzois!

!
Above: "Andy", receiving his second "Obedience Leg" in Lubbock, TX. after going Best of Breed earlier that same morning.

CH. BORCHI'S ANDREJENKO, CD. 1988-1998

Sire: Alborak's Czar Ivan
Dam: Alborak's Andreya

"Andy" was my pick of the litter from my first litter of Borzoi. He was used in the pet therapy program of the Abilene Kennel Club and visited patients and clients of the Abilene State School and a number of local nursing homes. He became my first AKC Champion after a long campaign to get that last major.

Above: "Andy", shown going Best of Breed in Lubbock, TX. Later that same morning Andy went into the Obedience ring and got his second leg.
In between he was involved in an accident when he got loose in a motel room, at a show in Ft. Worth, TX and ran into a busy street and hit a car (yes, he hit the car, the car didn't hit him) pulling into the street. Although not seriously injured it did shake him emotionally and it took almost a year of obedience work to bring him around to where he would allow the judges to go over him again. When he finished his Ch. title, people convinced me to try and get his CD. title. Then six months to the day of his Ch. he completed his 3rd leg (in 4 shows) to recieve his CD.
Although numerous tries were made to breed him he was unsucessfull in producing any puppies here at Borchi. He was just short of being 10 years old when he died.
