Chapter 8

"Now, are you going to try to make any more surprise phone calls?" She asked quietly, innocently. "No." Brian said. He was starting to hate his job right about now. Where was AJ? Had they not heard the gunshot? Just then, Sydney flew through the door, flipped on the light and uttered the longest stream of profanities any of them had ever heard, including Sydney herself.

"Alyssa! What the hell do you think you're doing? Please, God! Don't let her tell me it was an accident because I swear-" she took a few steps towards Alyssa. "I swear that if you shot that by accident, interrupting MY plans, I will have to kill someone. Now please tell me what the hell is going on." "Brian tried to make a phone call." Alyssa said, putting the blame as far away from herself as possible. Sydney slapped Brian across the face with the backside of her hand. "Hello? Were you born stupid or are you just being that way purposely?" She asked, her eyes shining with anger. "Syd, I didn't want to hurt anyone...don't hit him again, please..." Alyssa begged. AJ stood in the doorway-not sure what to do. Both girls had guns, and he hadn't been shot at so was he supposed to take offense to this?

"Dude! I get shot at, you're standing there in the doorway just LOOKIN' at me! Why didn't you do anything?" Brian asked, standing up and moving his chair opposite of AJ, rather than beside him. "They both had guns, dumbass. What did you want me to do? Jump 'em?" AJ asked, eyes wide, pulling out a cigarette.

"So, continue Mr. Littrell, what was happening then?" the man asked, making sure the tape recorder was still going. "Well, I'm standing there in my boxers, with these two girls with guns in front of me. Alyssa, I was beginning to realize, wasn't as rough as she acted. She wouldn't have hurt me in any way. Sydney was the one I was afraid of..."

"Now, Mr. McLean, did you feel threatened by Sydney in any way?" the man asked, pointing the recorder at AJ. "No sir. I did not feel as though she would cause any harm to me, if the situation arose. The worst she would do to me, is wear me out." AJ said with a smirk. "Although, I have to admit that Alyssa and Sydney appeared as opposite as night and day. Alyssa didnt look like she could hurt a fly if her life depended on it. Sydney, on the other hand, would probably massacre and barbecue a fly if her life depended on it."

"Just go, Syd." Alyssa whispered. "Just leave. Let me handle him, and you go handle AJ. Please. This is MY part of the plan. Now back off..." Sydney scowled at Brian, pure hatred flashing through her eyes. She left though, with AJ right behind. "C'mon AJ. I've got a whole new batch of frustration to work out." Sydney led the way back upstairs, and proceeded on with her side of the plan.
