My Poems
WONDER WHY

You call me your "friend", your alibi.
But all I can do is sit and wonder why.
After all you've done and all you've put me through,
You somehow expect me to sit there and be kind to you.
But now things have changed
And you think me to be a bit deranged.
Once I was able to call you a true friend
And could've stuck through till the end.
I was oppressed
And our friendship digressed;
Where once you stuck with me,
You've now abandoned me.
And yet, you call me your "friend", your alibi.
But all I can do is sit and wonder why.
Look at all the new "friends" you've found,
while you leave me lying helpless on the ground.
You deceived, lied, and beguiled your way in,
All in attempt to just fit in.
Yeah, now you really seem to be proud,
Even if you are hanging with the wrong crowd.
But wait, what's this I just happened to see?
Your "friends" have deserted you, just as you did to me
Oh, is this true, this thing I hear?
You come running back to me consumed by fear?
Now, you say you want to be my friend,
Sorry man, you've pushed it to the end.
You're such a pain,
Constantly driving me insane.
Look at me now, my frayed ends of sanity
May very well be the bane of all humanity.
You called me your "friend", your alibi.
But all I could do is sit and wonder why.
But now I know,
And there's not much to show.
Did I really need to know why?
No, not I.
Now, a true friend I have found
And by choice I leave you lying on the ground.
You roam the streets and have become a huffer,
and now its my turn to sit back and watch you suffer.
