Like You
You call yourself a Christian
You say you've been saved, you say you've been changed
You point out the speck in my eye and ignore the plank in your own
I try to do right and you call me names
But when I do wrong you call me worse
You ridicule me for not being like you.
Why would I want to be like you?
You talk about your unconditional type love
But when I read the small print
I see you mean love for a selected few
The few that are just like you.
You ridicule me for not being like you.
Why would I want to be like you?
You say "be yourself"
When you really mean "be who I want you to be"
You cry on my shoulder but when the tears are coming from me
You're nowhere around
I help you and befriend you even though you don't deserve it.
So tell me, who's the Christian?
Who's been saved, who's been changed?
Who has unconditional love?
You ridicule me for nto being like you.
Why would i want to be like you?
