Swarthmore By Night

Hello, most likely, if you've come to this part of the site, you're a current or former player of SBN, but if not, welcome to the SBN home site, and allow me explain a bit about the game.

SBN, full name Swarthmore By Night, was created in 1997 by Cliff Hebner, Keane Sadler, and Mae Kalwaic, and was first Storytold by Eric Ross. This game is played in the Wallingford/Swarthmore/Media are in southeastern Pennsylvania, not far from Philadelphia. At its height, SBN boasted a cast of nearly 50, not bad for a small suburban LARP.

This page is devoted to game information, for example, the IC Kindred Archive, the Swarthmore Humor Board, and Misc. SBN Stuff, but mostly to the volume of writing done in my role as Scribe from October 1997 - October 1999, and the writings of others in Character Back-Histories. If you're new to the game or don't play in SBN, you might enjoy the Chronicles, a two-year series of stories from the IC point-of-view of my characters, strung together to tell the story of Swarthmore.

To those of you old-schooler's and players who are wondering about the furture of SBN on the web, I assure you that my stepping down as Scribe does not mean that this part of the site won't be updated regularly. Check out What's New for recent additions.
