Jimmy Long JIMMY RAY LONG, 74, went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2009, with interment at Sandia Cemetery in Jim Wells County, TX. Jimmy was born on Sept. 30, 1934 in Mitchell County, TX. He attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1954 at Ranger, TX. He was a grocery store manager for over 40 years and served in the National Guard for 6 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Wells Long, his father, Aaron Long, mother, Melissa Long. He was a member of the West Shore Baptist Church in Sandia, TX. At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Pauline (Polly) Long of Lagarto, TX; one daughter, Terri (James) Kawamura of Kingsville, TX; one son David (Jennifer) Long of San Antonio, TX; one brother, Calvin E. Long (RHS- 1944) of Eastland, TX; one uncle, Rosco White of Lakewood, CA; 9 grandchildren, Chelsea and Melissa Long, Claudia Kawamura, Andrew, Nathan, Cory, Zachary & Michael Kawamura and Aaron Long; one great-granddaughter, Mayan Kawamura.
