SAMMY LEE ELDER was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W.
Elder of Ranger and he died in 1998. He was of
the Ranger High School Class of 1948 at Ranger, TX
& married Loretta Stephen, also of that class. He
had three brothers who were J.W. Elder (RHS-1940),
Billy Ray Elder (RHS-1943) & Dean Elder (RHS-1950).
All are deceased except for Billy Ray of Midland.
There was also a younger sister Mary Ann Elder Mara
(RHS-1954).
