BILLY RAY ELDER, 88, of Midland, TX passed away at
home on July 5, 2013.
Billy was born March 23, 1925 in Crawford, TX, to
J.W. & Josie Lee Elder. He attended Ranger High
School in the Class of 1943 at Ranger, TX & married
Jean Marlow in Jan. of 1947. Together they had two
children, Steve & Kathy.
Billy served in WWII in the US Navy. He had a career
with Mobil Oil from 1947 to 1984. Upon retiring he
then worked with Law Buck Compressor until his death.
Billy enjoyed working, hunting, and spending time
with his family.
He was preceded in death by his son Steve Elder, his
parents and three brothers.
Billy is survived by his bride of 66 years, Jean Elder,
sister Mary Ann Elder Mara (RHS-1954), daughter Kathy
and husband Bill White, grandchildren Coby & Cory White,
Courtney Warden, Ryan, Jeremy, Cody, Kyle, and Matthew
Elder. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
