Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1943

MERCEDES PEARSON, 78, of Brownfield, TX passed away Sept. 5, 2004, with burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX. Ms. Pearson was born on March 29, 1926 in Ranger to Vera Blair & Lee Roy Pearson. She graduated from Ranger High School in the Class of 1943. She attended Texas Christian University and Nursing School. She moved to Brownfield around 1965 and worked at Brownfield Hospital for over 30 years retiring in the 1990's. She was a member of the Brownfield Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Lynn Pearson Heath (RHS-1943) & Electra Pearson (RHS- 1939); and two brothers, Champ Pearson (RHS-1951) and Lee Roy Pearson, Jr. (RHS-1941). She is survived by a sister, Beth Pearson Cosper (RHS-1949) of Odessa, TX; and seven nieces & nephews. Lee Roy Pearson PARENTS: LEE ROY & VERA BLAIR PEARSON were longtime Ranger residents. He was an attorney and oil man and had offices in Ranger, TX. He was born on Dec. 2, 1886, and died in Oct. of 1966. She was born in 1897, and died on Jan. 11, 1991. They are buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. They were very active in community, civic, church and social life in Ranger. They had two sons and three daughters, Lee Roy Pearson (RHS-1941), Larry Champ Pearson (RHS-1951), Electra Pearson (RHS-1939), Mercedes Pearson (RHS-1943), Lynn Pearson Heath (RHS-1943), & Beth Pearson Cosper (RHS-1949).
