CLARA BARKER LANDERS SINGLETON, 75, was born
Oct. 23, 1913 to Jessie Lee Coffman & Robert
Edgar Barker. She attended Ranger High School
in the Class of 1930 at Ranger, TX. Her first
husband, Newell Landers (RHS-1931), died in
1960, and she later married Daniel C. Singleton
in 1968. He passed away in 1986. Clara taught in
Ranger at Young School & she also taught English
in Japan. She had three sisters, Catherine Barker
Allison (RHS-1933), Hazel Barker Harris (RHS-1936)
and Elizabeth Barker Ball (RHS-1942) and three
brothers, Edgar Barker (RHS-1930), Gates Barker
(RHS-1937), & Robert Lee Barker (RHS-1944). Clara
died in Sweetwater on Nov. 27, 1988.
