November 6, 2000 - Well, much to Bryan's disappointment (I think he's more broken up than me), I've had to trade in the 'Rado. Why, might you ask? Mostly, a combination of factors. The Silverado was amazing off-pavement, but in downtown Austin it was more a pain than anything. The extended cab made it difficult to park and impossible to parallel. The combined 7" of lift and the Super Swampers made parking garages a thing of the past. And, of course, there is my internship on the Land Rover account at GSD&M...which requires me to drive downtown and park in a parking garage. So, as of now the Silverado is gone, and its replacement, a 1997 Defender 90, will be ready in time for the offroading excursion in Dallas this weekend.
