George7 Goforth (Preston6, Preston5, William4, Willam3, Miles2, George1) was born April 03, 1778 in Cleveland Co. NC, and died October 03, 1869 in Lincoln Co. NC. He married Sarah Morgan 1796. (notes: George was a hunter, and was considered an expert rifleman. George and Sarah Goforth's house was about seven miles from the Kings Mountain Battleground. The family heard the firing during the battle of Kings Mountain.
