Fletcher was the husband of Sarah Jane MOORE (B:6 OCT 1865-Tennessee). According to the 1900 TX Census he and Sarah Jane had been married for 18 years (M:1882). He was listed as a day laborer, but family information says he worked as a salesman (called a drummer in those days). He left his wife and children and she moved to New Mexico and changed her name back to Moore according to the 1920 Census records.

Sarah Jane was the mother of Clytie Fletcher FARRIS SCOTT and Grace Z. FARRIS KIMES. She was married to A. L. FARRIS in 1882 and divorced sometime between 1900 and 1910. He was reported to have abandoned her and the girls and she moved to New Mexico. The 1910 Census reports she changed her name back to Moore and was a farmer. According to family members she was part Indian and was given land in Tucumcari, NM or Hudson, NM and was a member of the Comanche tribe. She was given 560 acres but lost it because she couldn't pay the taxes. She was given the choice to remain as part of the Indian lands or become an American Citizen and she chose to become an American Citizen and then the land became taxable so she lost it when she couldn't pay the taxes. Sarah lived in a 2 room shack outside of Tucumcari, NM on the land until she lost the land. 1920 Census shows Sarah (Sallie) living with a cousin in Quay Cnty, NM named William A. YORK and she was widowed.

Woods and a granddaughter, Lillie Robertson. He was the father of 10 children: William Grant, Mary E., James Harrison, Martha F., Nanie J. Dora, Ida, Jessie, Gerard P., and Rosa Ella. William was married to Mrs. Katy MAY on 10 MAY 1899 in Hunt County, TX (Source: TX marriage colection 1814-1909 and 1966-2002. All the census' say Katie was born in Texas. We do not know her maiden name. The 1910 census says this was her second marriage and that she had 6 children with only 5 living. On the 1930 census Katie Woods is listed with Oscar and Everett, but no William. She listed herself as married. A William G. Woods was listed on the 1930 census as a boarder in Dallas, TX and he listed himself as a widower. He was listed as a brick mason and died from third degree burns on the right leg from a house fire.
