Muggs
April 1990 to May 2000

She was dubbed Muggs because I thought she had the ugliest 'mug' I had ever seen on a dog.

When she was younger, she was quite atheltic. If I was talking to a neighbor over the back fence and she thought I should pay attention to her, she would jump up on top of the chain link fence and actually walk on the pipe at the top. This had the effect she wanted, I had to pay attention to her.
One of her favirote things in the world was to run at break neck speed around and around the yard, come straight at you, jump in the air and then change course at the last minute. She has been a true joy in my life. Muggs has had one litter in her life. It produced two male puppies. One of which I own and will tell you about on another page. She was a great mother, and both of the boys thrived. A year went by and I bred her again. Late in her cycle she became ill and lost the puppies she was carrying.
She had to be spayed to save her life so there would not be any more puppies. I must admit I was disappointed, but she is my baby and her life was worth more to me then puppies.
She lived a quiet life with her friends here in my home. My 3 year old grandson was a love in her life. She worried about him and when he was outside with her, she was never very far from him. She loved a warm place to curl up and sleeping next to me.
She was a 'bed hog' so she could not always sleep on my bed. She had to take turns with the other kids! I have never figured out how to sleep with a pile of five dogs on your bed.
Please take time to visit my other kids.
