Updates for the Memorial

Since this portion of my site is where I'll be putting the most updates for a while, I've decided to give it a special separate updates page.

June 26, 2004: Le sigh... Almost a full year without an update. Again, no toy article ready yet, but I am happy to report that I have the full line! Yay me! Oh, and we got a scanner, so I could scan some of the neat finds I've gotten off of eBay and add them to the gallery. So it's not content-free, but it's certainly not what you'd expect for a near-year's hiatus. Enjoy!

August 30, 2003: This site's included in my sites-wide revamp, so there's gonna be some changes. First off, thanks to a repeat spammer who can't be banned, I've decided to remove the guestbook; the entries from real visitors are archived on their own page. I've also moved the Guestmap to the main site. In the next few weeks, I should have my article on the toys all set to go and the gallery revamped.

June 2, 2003: Gad, it looks like I fell down a well. Okay, here's the latest plan I have for this, as this is an "insert better update here" update: I got my digital camera to do my article on the toys, but it was a piece of junk that suddenly stopped working after three months (and about a gazillion AA batteries). So, I'm going the old "picture CD" route with my regular camera. I'll be doing an overall article on the toys, then individual ones for the figure line and the separate vehicles, once the film develops. I also finally found that magazine with the Adam Hughes picture--in fact, I found both of the Fox Kids mags with Xyber 9 promotions in them! The ads reveal that by the time the series stopped running, they were supposed to be up to a pretty pivotal battle. Rats. There's also a cute "Ask Xyber 9" section where the Xyber answers kids' letters--shame I don't have a scanner to share that (or my copy of a Fox ad sent to the publishers). So, yeah, keep an eye out here for the toy reviews at long last.

February 17, 2003: I did a full-scale revamp of my room, and I found a duplicate figure nice give-away prize. So I'm holding another counter contest if you're interested. It's a nice prize if you ask me, not super rare but not about to be found for a buck at the local Wal-Mart, either. Check it out for more details.

February 15, 2003: Lord Almighty, have I been negligent! I didn't get the digital camera yet, so no goodies with the toys & magazines & various sundry Xyber 9 things I've found (thank you, eBay). Also, if anyone could explain what you need for screencapping, I'd be in heaven; sometimes (well, most times), I'm technologically stupid. Anyway, now that the thesis is done, I've decided to devote more time to this. I need to get at least some brief character information pieces up, and I'm starting from scratch with the fics. I'm taking down "Dishonest or Inspired", but it'll still be up at the FF.N category; I have better, more planned-out fics to do, and they'll be up when I get a chance to post 'em. For now, just enjoy the new pictures in the gallery and please be patient.

October 14, 2002: Nothing much--schoolwork's eating into time for much else. The only real news is the announcement of a counter contest. Also, for any other fans of Quinton Flynn (and the Beatles) out there, check out this site, enjoy the film, and sign up for the DVD.

September 1, 2002: The madness begins today. The prologue to my fic, "Dishonest or Inspired", is posted at the fics page. Also, I got my mits on the Fox Kids Magazine with the Xyber 9 comic, and it's confirmed: The dark-haired girl in blue is Rozalyn. Oh, and Renard's military uniforms were originally hunter green. Just thought I'd let you know.

August 8, 2002: I added a bit more info about the unaired episodes and a picture I received from the show editor at Epguides. I also took down the Xyberites essay, since I bit the bullet and restarted the group. It's a lot of fun--JOIN NOW!!

July 26, 2002: Wow, fairly productive week. I added a little nostalgia piece called The Brief, Sad Life of Xyberites. It's about a failed Xyber 9 ML I tried to start. Whoopee, right?

July 22, 2002: First, the big news: Thanks to a very nice visitor, I've been led to two much-nicer-than-this-heap Xyber 9 fansites; you can visit them on the brand-new Links page. Also, I found a few more credits for Nika Futterman & another name for her, which I've posted on the Voice Actors page. Finally, my custom Mick repaint will begin, my first baby step towards making my own Xyber 9 figures. Alas, no digital camera or screencapping apparatus yet in sight.

July 8, 2002: Nothing much this time. I just added a few things to the Voice Actor Page as far as credits and actors. I'm gonna start doing the full length episode reviews and character pages soon, but they're gonna be sorta plain. I'm hoping to at least get a digital camera for the action figure portion of the site, if not a screencapping device of some sort. That way, I could have a DECENT, NOT-PILFERED-FROM-GOOGLE gallery and spiffy up the pages a bit. Oh, well, only time will tell if that's gonna happen. Until then, please bear with me--this site's competing with work, home renovations, and a shared dial-up-modem computer.
