ELIMINATED FROM ALPHA

DAVE
ELIMINATED FROM BETA

YVES

The strategic guy of Alpha and the nice guy from Beta are gone.  Would they have been eliminated without the selfish free pass purchases?  The top ten players remain and anyone of them can easily be the mole:

Blake's wrong answers in the knockout quiz costs the team dearly.  He still denies doing it and he is yet to convince his team that it wasn't him.

Isaiah confuses and slows down everyone by blaming his broken computer.  It seems that anytime something should go his way, his computer magically gets fixed.

Justin who is supposedly a musical expert, loses a challenge after incorrectly guessing the next line to a well-known song.  The other expert is gone so all the blame falls on him.

Mike doesn't do his job as a sniper placer, halting the challenge.  It gives the other team $20,000 and stops his team from achieving another challenge.

Steve seems to be the good guy of the Alpha team but doesn't manage to send in enough valid websites in the scavenger hunt.  He's responsible for knocking out their most valuable player.

Billy doesn't send in a next line, slowing the team right down in the musical challenge.  He irritates his team mates, which could easily cover up any mole activity.

Dan is the only player not able to meet the host to play a board game.  He costs the team dearly again by not sending in a translation.

Daniel doesn't reach his target of 4 websites.  His involvement last series raises everyone's suspicions about him being the mole this time round.

Nick makes numerous attempts defusing the bomb and trying to be the hero for the challenge.  He has the first document for the codewords but doesn't tell anybody.

Sharna fails to be available to complete some of the challenges, however she somehow is able to survive all the eliminations.  Could her lack of presence be the work of a mole?

Any one of the remaining ten players could be the mole.  The team have to divide themselves up into:
(a) A person who is very good at making decisions for the team.
(b) A person who will be able to speak on voice chat to the host.
(c) Two people who don't want to take the questionnaire.
(d) The most gullable person in your group.
The Beta team have difficulty assigning someone for the voice chat as noone has the appropriate equipment.  Mike and Dan are chosen as the people who are very good at making decisions for the team.  They won't be given a challenge, but a task that could make a big impact on the kitty.  Up to half a million dollars could have been earnt by both teams up until this point and neither team has won even half of that.  To allow the teams to earn more money, they are to assign different dollar values to each of the challenge.  This means that each team's decision maker can place higher rewards on the challenges they know they will succeed in and lower amounts on the ones they know they are going to fail.  The limitations are that a challenge may be worth no less than $10,000 and no greater than $60,000; each value must be a multiple of $5,000 and the total of all three challenges should equal to $125,000.  Meanwhile, two notes are sent from the Alpha Mole.
"After of the treachery of two others and me, is this a sign that you
may be getting dangerously close to me?"

"Riddle me RE, riddle me RI, last episode someone caught me in a LIE"

CHALLENGE ONE: THE GULLABLE

Mike decides that this challenge is worth $55,000 to Alpha.  Dan decides to assign $50,000 for this challenge.  The two chosen gullable team members, Justin and Daniel, are given the opportunity to win a free pass into the next episode and all they have to do is prove to the rest of the team that they are not gullable at all.  The remaining four team members will give the gullable team members three statements about themselves, one of which is a blatent lie.  The job of the gullable team members is are to identify which statements are the lies.  If the gullable team member is fooled by the group and can pick no more than one lie, the group win the challenge.  If the gullable team member can identify at least two of the lies, he wins a free pass into the next episode and money goes begging.

Justin is given the statements from Alpha.  The statement lists are as follows:

Blake
1. "I have been to Mexico."
2. "I have been in the state high school tennis tournament."
3. "I have sung in the state honors chorus."

Isaiah
1. "I speak Spanish."
2. "I speak French."
3. "I speak Hmong."

Mike
1. "I have lived in London."
2. "I know Steve Martin."
3. "My Favorite Color is Yellow."

Steve
1. "I went Bungee-Jumping prior to my 18th birthday."
2. "I earn less than $50 000 PA."
3. "I have completed my university education."

Justin makes decisions on the list.  He thinks that Blake has not sung in the state honors chorus,  Isaiah does not speak French, Mike does not know Steve Martin and Steve earns more than $50,000.  Blake manages to fool him.  He has sung in the state honors chorus but has not been in the state high school tennis tournament.  Steve manages to fool him as well.  He actually has another year to go in his university education.  Unfortunately for the group, Isaiah and Mike's lies weren't convincing enough.  Two lies identified by Justin, earning him a free pass into the next episode.

Daniel is given his list of statements:

Billy
1. "I am a model for Sears"
2. "I am bisexual"
3. "I have a 100 lbs cat"

Dan
1. "I was born in a country that is an island directly below Malaysia."
2. "I was the #4 ranked student in my graduating class out of 106 students."
3. "I speak fluent Spanish."

Nick
1. "In the last three years I have won over $5000 dollars in prizes from competitions."
2. "I know Natalie Imbruglia and her family."
3. "I know Vanessa Amorosi, her family and pets!"

Sharna
1. "I am studying commerce/law"
2. "I love Soul Decision"
3. "I am 5'3"

Daniel doesn't believe that Billy is bisexual, that Dan was the fourth ranked student, that Nick has won over $5000 and that Sharna is a short girl.  Billy is actually bisexual but isn't a model for Sears and Nick doesn't know Vanessa Amorosi.  But again for the team, bad lies are seen.  Dan wasn't ranked forth and Sharna isn't 5'3.  Another challenge lost for Beta, but a free pass for Daniel.

Two guys walk away happy, but both challenges fail.  Could it have been the gullable people only pretending to be gullable up until this point?  Could it have been team members purposely lying badly?  Either way, it looks like the mole has struck again.

CHALLENGE TWO: THE YES/NO GAME

This challenge is worth $30,000 for Alpha and $25,000 for Beta.  The team members who don't want to take 'the questionnaire' are given a five-question quiz to do.  It is not about the identity of the mole, but about the other team.  The answers to each of the questions can either be, yes or no.  Each incorrect answer will be worth one minute.  Therefore, five incorrect answers will be worth five minutes.  But what is the time for?  This is how long the designated speakers will have to chat with the host.  The catch is throughout the entire chat, the speaker may not say yes or no at any time.  If he can survive the entire duration of the conversation without saying yes, no or something similar, the challenge is won.

Alpha has Steve as a speaker and Blake and Isaiah as the questionnaire takers.  Billy and Sharna are taking the questionnaire for Beta, while Nick is assigned speaker.  Nick doesn't have reliable chat equipment and is worried about it stuffing up during the challenge.  Isaiah and Billy are given the following questions about the opposing team:

1. Have they won more challenges than you?
2. Did they gain more money in Episode 5 than in Episode 4?
3. Has the person whose profile is next to yours on the profile page had a free pass at some stage in the game?
4. Was the mole involved in this game last series?
5. Does at least two people know who the mole is?
Blake and Sharna are given a different set of questions:
1. Did they win a challenge in Episode Three?
2. Have they got more money than you in the kitty?
3. Did the person whose profile is next to yours on the profile page buy a free pass to this episode?
4. When the MVP was eliminated, did he know who the mole was?
5. Is the mole involved in this challenge?
Billy is the first person to submit his answers in.  His first two answers are right but the last three are incorrect, setting his speaker time to at least 3 minutes.

Isaiah answers his set of questions.  Amazingly all five of his answers are incorrect.  This means Steve will have to survive at least five minutes in chat.  Blake hands in his questionnaire soon after, luckily only getting three out of five answers wrong.  Therefore, Steve must speak to the host for 8 minutes without saying yes or no (or anything similar).  Steve meets up the host for a chat.  Luckily for him, the host's chat feature malfunctions.  A win by default and $30,000 is added onto Alpha's kitty.

Sharna doesn't send in her answers before the deadline allowing Nick to miss his opportunity to speak with the host.  Luckily for him because his brother moves out taking the microphone he needed for the challenge with him!  Yet another challenge goes begging for Beta.

CHALLENGE THREE: A NASTY REUNION

The teams must choose a person who was eliminated from their team in a previous episode.  This person should be someone that would like to be reunited with.  Alpha chooses Robbie and Beta chooses Yves.  The two team members not involved in the previous challenge must play a game of hangman against the reunited contestant.  They are to play five games simultaneously.  Each correct guess gains 2 points, but each incorrect guess loses one point.  Whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins.  If Alpha wins, they earn $40,000.  If Beta wins, they earn $50,000.  If the previously eliminated contestant wins, this is what happens.  The team don't earn any money, the two contestants who score the lowest in the questionnaire are eliminated and the previously eliminated contestant is invited back into the game.

Competing against Robbie is Justin and Mike from Alpha, while Yves competes against Dan and Daniel.  The five puzzles are revealed:

NAME:   **** ******
PLACE:  ********* ******
PHRASE: * ****** ** **** ***** ****
TITLE:  ****** *** *** *****
THING:  *** ****** *******
Yves, the eliminated Beta contestant guesses Y and V.  Only two of those are in the puzzle.  Daniel guesses the next two letters for the Beta team.  He decides to go with A and R.  Several of those are in the puzzles.  It's enough to help Yves realise that the place is "Trafalgar Square" and the title is "Beauty and the Beast".  He is correct with both guesses and leads the game 4 points to 0.

Robbie starts to whip up an evil plan.  He decides he will work with Yves in order for both of them to have a better chance of being invited in the game.  They decide to go with it and with Yves already knowing two answers, it provides a good start for Robbie.

Yves decides his next two letters are B and O.  Several more letters in the puzzle are revealed.  He thinks he knows the name.  He guesses Gary Barlow.  It's wrong and he loses a point.  He now only leads 3 to 0.

Robbie submits the two answers already guessed by Yves.  He gets 4 easy points and guesses the letters E and M for the game.  Robbie's amazing guesses stuns the team and causes riot amongst the Alpha players.  Mike is the most annoyed and complains that the game is rigged.  However forgetting that he is playing a game of sabotage and betrayal, his outbursts jeopardises his position in the game.

Yves continues on with his guesses.  He uses the dictionary to try and figure out what the thing is.  With not many six letter words starting with 'OR', he guesses the thing is "The Orient Express".  He is right and is on 5 points.  Unless he makes incorrect guesses on the other two puzzles, he is sure to win the game.

Mike continues to argue with the Host, complaining Robbie is working with him.  Robbie reveals his evil plan to the team, proving he is a genuine contestant and pointing out the stupidity of Mike.  Steve starts to lodge a formal complaint about the eliminated contestants forming the alliance.  He is more civilized with the approach and Robbie offers his apologies to the team.

With the Alpha team and Yves sorting out the challenge difficulties, Daniel tries to continue to play the game.  He guesses D and N.  A few of those are in the two remaining puzzles, but not enough to help him figure any out.  Mike also decides to continue emphasising the cheating of Robbie and Yves.  He chooses S and T and a number of them are in the puzzles.  The teams get nastier about Robbie and Yves alliance as dozens of emails get bounced between the players.  Justin chooses T and I, not realising that Mike has already submitted letters for that turn.  Daniel figures out the name is "Gary Larson".  He's right and the score now stands at Yves 5 points and Beta 2 points.

The riots continue between the players and eliminated contestants and the host calls off the challenge making everyone fail their tasks.  Yves could have made it back into the game but is happy that he isn't after the arguments between the team.  He was going to lose the game on purpose, however the cancellation of the challenge made it easier on him to bail out.  Robbie's plan backfires eliminating his chance of being reinvited in the game.  The Alpha team's outbursts takes away an opportunity to win a very simple challenge.  The Beta team are lucky in a way as they were about to lose the challenge, nearly eliminating two of their team.

Tension rises between the teams.  Several email fights start up between Billy and Dan.  Dan thinks Billy is annoying, while Billy goes against the rest of the team.  He hopes that either he or an Alpha team member wins.  In terms of mole activity, Dan also points out that in their email addressing system, a number of the email addresses had been altered, ensuring that some of the team would not receive the emails.  The group become overly suspicious of everyone, even accusing themselves.

With one challenge being scrapped, a chance to win more money goes begging.  Alpha's win in the yes/no game extends their lead to $120,000.

Alpha's Kitty
$  175,000
Beta's Kitty
$   55,000

As the nerve racking task of the questionnaires take place, each contestant is asked who they think will be in the final episode:

Isaiah: "Hmm...of course the mole will be one...I think Blake will be one, and if NOT me, then Mike.  Hopefully, I am NOT the one being eliminated next, b/c this game is too fun to leave :-)"

Billy: "I will be there.  I wish no one else could be, but I'm figuring Daltonique and then Nick"

Blake: "I believe the final 3 will be Mike, Steve, and Isaiah.  If my choice for the mole is correct, then I hope I, too, will be in the final 3, but otherwise, these are who I choose.  They all seem like very qualified and observant players, and have been very active team members."

Sharna: "I do because 1. I am female and 2. Cos i know that i can out smart the mole!!!"

Mike: "I Hope that I am in the Final Three for one, I hope Justin is there because I think he's the Mole, and I hope Steve is there because he is doing alot to help the group out right now."

Daniel: "I think I have this series sussed, i have jotted everything down this time and I think having the experience of playing last series and the only reason i lost is because i forgot things that happened throughout the series. Well this time i have learnt my lesson, and as I continue through, and the person I thought was the mole from episode one continues through, I am getting more eager just to win challenges and get the money because I know who the mole is. Oh, others to make it to the final 3? I think any of the others could make it, Nick should make it for the same reasons he was in last series knows what is going on. I can't just choose three, but the mole will be there. To be honest, as long as who i believe the mole to be is there, i don't care who the other contestant is."

Justin: "Who will be the final three? Well I certainly hope to be one of the final people at the end, I certainly know that Blake will be there at the end (because I KNOW he's the MOLE). I'd also like to see Steve reach the final episode just because he's worked so hard and has really been a leader (to be at least)"

Nick: "The final three: (1) Daltonique (Dan), (2) s_booth (Sharna) and (3) baskio (me - Nick). If not me then it is Billy that will be in! Unfortunately! I hope that Danielhib has been convinced that I'm am the mole!!""

Steve: "I think the final three will definately have Blake and Justin  - though I'm hoping Blake get's eliminated.  I committed now, I reckon the Mole is Justin, who I've pretty much stuck with from the start.  I hope I make it to the final three, this has been AWESOME!!  I think Blake is too obvious now, and I'm sure it's not Isaiah or Mike.  So, I'm sticking with Mr J.  Hopefully you'll see me next week ;)"

The messages keep being sent from the Alpha Mole.  Have these clues helped any of the Alpha team members?
"Soon after Robbie failed to get back in the game I concluded that ALPHA team is rather lame.....perhaps with ONE MORE person GONE, you'll be closer to guessing where I'm NOT from"
With one more person gone, we are left with eight in Episode Seven.
