| As Willow ran to her next class, she smacked right into Xander. “Uffff! Hey Willow.” Xander said. “Hi Xander.” She replied nervously. “Sorry I bumped into you.” “It’s okay. Hey, you wanna go grab a twinkie with me real quick?” “Actually, I have to go to class, I’m kinda late.” < Oh God, he’s talking about twinkies! > “Oh. Alright. I’ll see you later then.” Xander said as he began to walk away. “Wait! I have to talk to you later. How about your house? My parents are actually home tonight.” Willow called after him. “Oh really? Cool. You know I’m always here to talk. Yeah, my house is fine cause my parents went out to visit my Aunt Stephanie in Los Angeles.” “Great. So I’ll see you around 7:00?” “Count me in.” “Okay, see you later, Xander.” “Bye Will.” * * * Willow paced around her room thinking about how to tell Xander what she heard. It was almost 6:45, and she knew that she should begin to walk over to his house. She looked into the mirror and frowned. She had big bags under her eyes, and creases on her cheeks because she just woke up from the nap she was taking. Willow quickly put it on, and smiled at her success. Then she changed her outfit and got into a new pair of khakis and a black shirt. < I actually look half decent > “Time to go, I guess,” she said out loud. Willow took out a stake and put it in the pocketbook she was taking with her. She closed her door, and yelled goodbye to her parents telling them she was going over to Xander’s house. “Have fun Willow!” her mom called after her. “Yeah, thanks. See you later, Mom.” Willow replied before closing the door behind her. < What fun I’m about to have > As Willow walked down Hyacinth Ave, her stomach started to get butterflies in it. < Oh God, what if Xander hates me for not telling him right then when he told me all that stuff. I *was* kinda dozing, but I still could have told him then that I knew. Oh well, I’m just going to be truthful about it. No backing out of anything now. > At last Willow made her way down Xander’s street and began walking up the steps to his house. She hesitated at first, but then finally rang the doorbell. < Here goes nothing. > |
