Q:What's all this hype about the dancers and
the amount of time they have to perform on stage?
A:We know that dancers and people who watch the shows have
been complaining that our 4 minute rule isn't
fair, but check dis out...
There are MAD PROBLEMS that come along wit givin Flex
dancers more than 4 minutes to perform on stage.
Firstly, when Flex Entertainment pays to use a
venue like the Ark or the YWCA, we are only allowed to
use the venue for a SPECIFIC amount of hours.
At our showcases, we ALWAYS want to
give our people AT LEAST 2 hours to party.
However, when groups go over their 4 minute limit, it
takes more and more time away from tha party. If every group went over
their limit, WE'DE NEVER HAVE HAVE AN
AFTER-PARTY!
Actually, if EVERYONE went
over the limit not only would we not have time
for an afterparty, but we would never have time to
see all of the groups perform!! Sorry, but that
CANNOT happen. Another problem wit going
over 4 minutes is that it's not fair to other groups
who've followed the rule and kept their routine at
4 minutes. It's unfair for one group to have the
stage for 7 minutes while another group has
only 4.
No group has priority. Every group is made
aware of this rule the day they sign up.
THIS IS WHY GROUPS WHO GO OVER THE
LIMIT ARE DISQUALIFIED.
So, even though a dance group may have had the best
routine at a showcase, they will not be the
winners if they go over the limit. The next best group
who follow the 4 minute rule will win the prize
in that case. So Flex audience, PLEASE
UNDERSTAND and dance groups, DON'T DO IT TO
YOURSELVES! Do ya thing in 4 minutes
or less if you want tha cash, AIGHT!
Q:Is it true that Rocky and the Flex Girls choose
the winners at every showcase?
A:NO! Neither the Flex Girls, nor Rocky chooses
the winners. Surprised, right? At every showcase
people in the audience who won't be partial to one
group or have favoritism are picked to be judges.
They are the ones who choose the winners. So, stop
spreading that rumor, now you know tha truth,
AIGHT! :)
