Don’t know what it is? Well, let me educate you!
Bish’ Masters is a
Yaoi card game I’ve created, based pretty heavily off of the popular YuGiOh!
game. If you don’t know what Yaoi is,
it’s a term referring to male-male relationships in anime and manga, and often
in video games as well. If that kinda
thing makes you feel a little queasy, then this game is NOT for you. In fact, what are you doing on this site?
But for those of you
who are rabid Yaoi fans, big welcomes!
There are a few things
I want to mention before introducing the cards and rules of the game. Please read through carefully.
1. These
cards were made by scanning YuGiOh! cards, changing colors and symbols, and
putting in new words and pictures. The
pictures for the characters and other cards I found in various places on the
internet, and a few include fan art. I
have not given credit to the pages or people I have gotten these images from,
and I have not asked permission to use them.
Please do not sue me—this is all in fun. If you find something here that you created—your own fan art, in
other words—let me know and I will give you credit for the image. If you just don’t like my doing this but are
otherwise uninvolved, don’t flame me—I’ll laugh and then ignore it.
2. Characters
in this game come from many different anime and a few video games, including
characters that are openly gay as well as those that I found slash-able (having
enough hints that they could be gay to make them so for the purpose of this
game). If you don’t like that I’ve put
some character in this game because you don’t think they’re gay, don’t flame
me—I’ll laugh and then ignore it.
3. The
cards were made from series and characters that I have some knowledge of if not
seen much of, and I chose the characters I thought would be best for this
game. If there is someone you would
like to see here, feel free to offer suggestions. If I have seen the anime/game and feel so inclined to add them to
the card list, I will with thanks. If I
haven’t seen the anime/game, I will probably not add the card until I have seen
it. If you have ideas for Event or Trap
cards, I’ll happily entertain them.
4. Seme
and Uke: Now, I know in the
anime-fandom, Seme and Uke refer to the positions of “top” and “bottom” in a
relationship. In this game, seme and
uke are replacing the YuGiOh! terms of attack and defense. For the purposes of this game, “seme” points
are related to how persistent a character is to get his chosen lover, while
“uke” points refer to how resistant a character is to the advances of others.
For Example:
“Shindou Shuuichi” (from Gravitation)
has a 2000 seme points and 1000 uke points.
This means that he is very, very persistent when it comes to going after
a potential lover—just look at how he goes after Yuki! On the other hand, he is very easily
seduced, giving him low defensive uke points.
“Randy ‘Ryou’ McLane” (from FAKE)
has 1400 seme points and 1700 uke points.
This is to say that he is not quite as aggressive when chasing someone
as he is resistant to being chased.
Also, the more openly Yaoi a series or character is, the higher their
character level. So Kazuya (Be-Boy: Kidnap an Idol) is of a higher
level than Trowa Barton (Gundam Wing). Slash-able series like Weiss Kreuz are lower than Ai
no Kusabi (Wedge). Song of
Wind and Trees (Kaze to Ki no Uta), as
the first real male/male comic in Japan, gets the highest level cards in the
deck.
Okay! On to the game—please play and enjoy!
