Summary:

BTVS/ATS X-Over with The Terminator

John Connor and Kate Brewster run into some trouble when they are shanghaied by another Terminator a few years down the track just as they are getting the resistance working as a cohesive unit. This T-800 has been sent back in time by them to protect John's father Kyle whom Sky-Net is trying to kill because then it would be able to rid itself of the threat that is John Connor.

Using the Terminator's information they track young Kyle and his mother down in a sleepy California town that has been relatively untouched by the machine's invasion, Sunnydale. However the newest weapon in Sky-Net's arsenal is not far behind them - The TX-1000.

Musts:

Buffy is Kyle's mother (naturally Angel is his father - either 17th birthday or IWRY - but he does not know about the child's existence).

His full name is Kyle Reece Summers, but eventually when he is older he drops the Summers part of his name because too many of the demons want to kill the only offspring of the slayer and the souled vampire.

Kyle is only a child at the time, so John and Kate have to convince Buffy to let them help without revealing too much of the reason - which the goof up badly and eventually have to tell her the truth with the help of the Terminator.

After the TX-1000 attacks them, they all head to Giles who since he cannot help them implores Buffy to head to LA and ask for Angel's help, which she refuses to do. So going behind his slayer's back Giles calls Angel.

Angel dragging everyone - including Cordy and Connor - to Sunnydale. Giles telling him what is going on but leaving the biggest secret of all for Buffy to tell.

Somehow the motley group defeating the TX-1000.

(AU Fiction)

Summary:

Buffy Summers is a successful gallery owner in the small California town of Sunnydale and she seems to have everything a woman could possibly want. A great family, plenty of friends and an ever-loving boyfriend.

However within a year all of that changed. Her mother died of complications from a brain tumor, her younger sister went off to college, her so-called boyfriend ran off with her high school nemesis and all of her friends were divided about who's side they should be on.

The one constant in her life is her best friend since childhood, Willow Rosenberg.

After months of soul searching and deep thoughts, Buffy finally decided that there was only one thing that can possibly make her whole again - having a baby. Exploring every single option from one night stands to artificial insemination from a sperm bank, she decides against them all because she and any child that she produces deserves better than that.

Enter Willow's sexy step-brother, Angel McCoy.

Asking Angel to be the father of her child was both the bravest and craziest thing she had ever done. Besides she knew what the answer would be, he had already made his opinion of her quite clear years ago when she had confessed her crush on him.

But he surprised her.

He agreed to her insane idea, with a few of his own conditions. For example there would be no artificial insemination used, any child that he fathered had to be done the old fashioned way.

How can she possibly cope?

Challenge #40

Submitted by Claddaugh

Post Chosen (X-over with Highlander)

It's post Chosen.  After Buffy left Spike in the cavern, she's racing to the bus.  As she's leaping off the roof of one building to the top of the bus, she disappears.  She reappears outside of the cave in that is Sunnydale. Standing next to her is Whistler. He stops her from  flagging down the bus, and tells her that no one can know she is alive.  She is now what is known as the Slayer Queen.  When she pulled the scythe from the stone and used it in battle, she activated a prophecy, known as the Slayer Queen Prophecy.  The others can't know she is alive, or that she is the Queen. Being the Queen means that the entire slayer power now runs through her.  Which means, as long as she lives, Slayers still exist.  If she dies, Slayers  no longer exist to fight evil.  If it is known that The Slayer Queen Prophecy has been activated, every vampire and demon in the world would be hunting her to destroy the Slayers forever.

Must Haves:

Buffy is now immortal.

Whistler takes her to the Powers' favorite immortals for training in how to be an immortal.  The 2 immortals are Duncan McCloud and Methos.  Duncan because he is the best with a sword, and Methos because he is the best at hiding in plain sight, and pure survival.

Buffy convinces Whistler to let her contact Dawn only.  How she does that is up to author.  Dawn understands and does not tell anyone Buffy is alive.

Dawn and Buffy have a way to stay in touch.

Buffy is now 5x stronger and faster than any slayer.  She can also take the power away from a slayer if a slayer abuses the power in any way.  How she uses these powers are up to author.

As Buffy is a student of Duncan and Methos, she also becomes friends with their friend Joe Dawson, who owns a blues club.  One night Joe's club has an guitarist perform named Oz.  He is extremely surprised to see Buffy is alive and well and using another name.  She explains everything to him and he agrees to keep her secret.  They stay in touch and become best friends.  Willow, having dumped the very annoying Kennedy, meets up with and falls back in love with Oz.  She wonders about his new best friend he stays in close contact with.

Angel finds out about the Prophecy, and that Buffy is alive.   How that happens is up to author.  He DOES NOT tell the others, and her starts searching for her. He eventually finds her.

Buffy and Methos frequently clash, as they both are sarcastic in nature, and drive Duncan crazy.  Whether those clashes include sexual tension is up to author.

There are remnants of the council remaining.  The not very nice ones.   They learn that The Slayer Queen Prophecy has been activated, and start searching for the Queen so that they can control the power.  Giles learns about it through a contact, and also starts researching.  Dawn sabotages him at every turn.
In the end the truth is found out about Buffy's being alive.  The Scoobies try to find Buffy to make her come back to them, and Dawn tells them all off for their selfishness, and makes them leave her alone.

Must have Happy Ending!!!
