Title: Know You
Author: Bergs coffecup26@yahoo.com
Rating: PG
Pairing: Maggie/Bianca
Summary: Bianca works out her feelings for Maggie. She decides it's time to tell her how she feels.
Disclaimer: Bianca doesn't belong to me, and neither does her lovely sidekick. But I'd like to burrow them and hope it doesn't anger some big executive at ABC. It's just for fun. I need to get my kicks somehow =-) The poems mine. I wrote in awhile back.

Bianca sat at the café. She pulled out her poetry book. Not many people knew she wrote poetry. In fact, she'd only recently started. It was after Frankie death. She decided that she needed another way to vent out emotions. So writing came naturally. She looked back over her work. The first part was dark. Sad. 'Right after I lost Frankie,' she thought. The as she read along, it started to change.

It wasn't so sad anymore. Their were slight differences at first. Suddenly, she noticed the poems were not all about Frankie and loss. They changed too. They were about Maggie, and her mother and Chris. She wrote about her prom, and graduation, and other things. She realized she had been writing about life. She realized she had made it after Frankie death, she had moved on. And a large part of that was because of Maggie. She looked out the window and started thinking. She remembered when Maggie asked her out to the prom, as her date. Bianca hadn't even planned on going. But Maggie made her, she made her go on living. She remembered that night of swimming. God, how she felt like she was 10 again. She recalled the day Maggie came to the office, and gave her the gift and the flower. She felt so good, so right. And then Maggie asked her to go as her date to the wedding. Bianca felt like her heart had wings for a moment. Then Tim had come in, said he was Maggie's date. CRASH. Bianca fell. It was that moment that Bianca realized she was in love with Maggie and what she felt was jealousy when Tim escorted Maggie, and not Bianca. Bianca smiled and opened her book. Bianca liked to think Maggie didn't know her like she did. But Bianca would be in for a shock. Pen in hand, Bianca scribed the words that she would later give to Maggie. A way of telling her she knew her.

What are you thinking? How could I know you well enough
To feel as strongly as I do?
I know you better then you think I do.
I know what you desire, what you fear.
I know what you strive to be,
Why you love and why you hate.

I know you're strong,
But you still need to be held on nights,
To be comforted and assured you aren't alone.
I know your passion,
It drives you.
You strive to do for others, and yearn to be all that you can,
All that you dreamed of on starry nights
On open fields by lantern light years ago.

I know you hate, even though you wish away this part of you.
You hate what you can't be. Hate,
It's such a powerful word with such a wide ray of meanings behind it.
You hate those who can't accept you for you,
Those who try to change you. But don't ever let them.
Be happy with who you are. I am.

I know you love. Love,
You're afraid of so little,
But the power behind this scares you a bit.
I'm here to say it's okay. With love, you can fear it,
So long as you can embrace it when the times right.
Give me a chance to show you why…

What don't I know?
I don't know your dreams. What do you dream of?
I've dreamed of you and I,
Laying arm in arm safe and secure with loves embrace.
I dreamed of a forever in your eyes,
Your smile, your soul.
I dreamed you were mine, only to wake alone…
And sad. I may not know your dreams, but I know my own…
I know.

Love,
Bianca

She pulled the pages out of her book and left the coffee shop. She went to the hospital, where she knew Maggie was working. Finally able to track her down, she saw Maggie standing with Tim. Bianca didn't round the corner fully. She waited. She could hear the conversation. She knew she shouldn't be ease dropping on her best friends, but she couldn't help it.

"So that's it then" Tim said slightly sad.

"Yeah. I'm sorry Tim. You know I care about you as a friend. I don't have to tell you that," she said touching his cheek. He leaned in and hugged her.

"I know. I know." He smiled and did the macho thing pretending like it wasn't bothering him.

"I think you should just tell her, but it's your choice."

"Tell who what?" Maggie asked slightly confused.

"You know who and you know what Maggie. I'm not blind. I can see it. I'm just shocked the two of you can't" he said.

"Tim. For the last time I don't…"

"Yeah yeah, whatever. She says the same thing. But it's only because you're both afraid of what might happen if you do. God forbid someone be happy in this town," he said looking up. He spotted Bianca behind the payphone. She hadn't noticed he saw her, and Maggie still hadn't seen her.

"Look. It's just you and me. I think I deserve the truth here Maggie. Is your ability to not care about me based slightly on the fact you harbor feelings for a lovely brunette?"

Maggie paused. "Fine Tim. I'll admit, I do care about Bianca. But it's never going to happen okay? She doesn't feel that way about me. All she sees when she looks at me is Frankie. Nothing more. I can't be with someone who doesn't know who I really am." Maggie said sadly.

"You might be surprised what she knows," Tim said. He leaned down and kissed her cheek. "See you around."

Tim left and smiled. 'Mission accomplished.'

Maggie sat down and put her hands in her face. Bianca walked around the corner.

"I know you Maggie," she said tilting the face of the woman she now loved for then ever before. "I know you, and I love you." Bianca handed the woman the poem she had written and turned around. "Call me if you want to. I'll be at my place." And she left.

Maggie looked at the papers before her. 'Well that was odd,' she thought. She began to read. A smile dawned her features. She took a deep breath and walked to the nurse's station.

"Hi Rita- I'm not feeling so good. I'm going to lave a little early tonight. Is that okay?"

"Sure Maggie. It's been pretty quiet anyways. Go ahead," Rita replied.

Maggie packed her stuff and changed. She walked out the door and pulled out her cell.

"Hi. It's me. I'm on my way over. Yeah, we've got a lot to talk about. I loved your poem Bink," Maggie smiled. She clicked her phone off and started to run. "I'm tired of taking it slow," she laughed and broke into full speed.

She reached Bianca's room out of breath. "Maggie, come on in."

Maggie closed the door behind her. "Your poem. It was amazing. I loved it."

"I'm glad. I…I just need you to know."

"Well now I do," Maggie said walking toward Bianca. "Are you going to run away from this?"

"No. Are you?"

"No," Maggie answered. She leaned into hug Bianca. She took in every part of her, smell, feel, and now…taste. Their lips met and they both moaned at the sweetness from it. "God you're beautiful Bianca," Maggie said smiling and kissing her again.

"I've wanted this from you for so long now," Bianca said in-between kisses.

"I know. We've both known. I'm just glad we finally did something about it. Because to be honest," Maggie pulled away from her for a moment, "being so near to you these past few weeks and not being able to tell you has been eating me up inside a bit more each day."

"I'm sorry," Bianca said kissing her again.

"No sorry. Bianca all we do now is make up for the lost time," and Maggie moved her to the bed. She shut off the lights. And Maggie giggled. "Now it's time for me to know you a little better."
