<Lady Thundera> Greetings!

<Thundercub> Hello and welcome, everyone.  Lady Thundera and I are reporting from outside the now-burning Berbil village.  And we're Christmas colors!  Yea!

<Lady T> We're so coordinated.  Anyway, because of the fires, they're going to run the whole thing at once rather than going team by team.  That way, we can get out of here before this fire meets up with the one in the Tree Top Kingdom.

<Thundercub> You mean they haven't put that out yet?

<Lady T> It's contained, but it's still going.  They've decided to refer to it as a controlled burn.  The Thundercats say it needed to happen anyway.

<Thundercub> I see.  How convenient for Thundera Tiger.  She's off the hook for that one.

<Lady T> I wouldn't count on it.  Nayda and Willa are both pretty upset.  Anyway, the vehicles are getting ready, so we'll run you through the rules and the teams.

<Thundercub> Each team has a Berbil fruit that they must pass between four different vehicles.  Each vehicle goes around the village once.  Pretty straight forward.

<Lady T> The Thundercats have Kit and Kat on their space boards as two vehicles.  Lion-O is driving the Thunderclaw and Cheetara is the last leg with the Thundertank.  For the Lunatacs, the race will start with Amok and Luna in the Lunattacker, then Chilla in the Ice Runner, Alluro on his jet pack, and back to Amok and Luna in the Lunattacker.  The mutants have Jackalman out of the 4-Day Drop now--

<Thundercub> And he's alive!

<Lady T> Anyway, he'll start on a Skycutter followed by Monkian also on a Skycutter, Vultureman in his Flying Machine, and Slithe in a Nose Diver.  Care to do the rest, Thundercub?

<Thundercub> The humans have Safari Joe's spaceship, Shiner's Scout ship, Mandora's Electrocharger, and Bragg's Circus Train in that order.  Mumm-Ra's team has been a little ingenious.  They've stolen all their vehicles.  The ASOE are in the Feliner, Grune is in the Mu-Tank, the Enflamor is in the Hovercat, and Driller is in the Fistpounder.  Finally, we have the Third Earthers.  Turmagar is on that weird creature of his, Robear Bob and Belle are in the Candy Fruit Picker, Kudi has borrowed a powered sled that Snow Man uses, and then we're back to Bob and Belle in the Fruit Picker.

<Lady T> They're all lined up and ready to start.  And there's the flag!  The first six are off and racing around the village.  The Feliner has jumped out to an early lead.  Turmagar is having problems getting started.  Kit is right behind the ASOE, but Jackalman is giving her some trouble.

<Thundercub> This was why they wanted to run the race separately for each team.  Jackalman has almost forced Kit into the fire.  Lay off you overgrown mutt!

<Lady T> He might actually be helping her.  She's being forced to take the shortest, albeit the hottest, route possible.  She's almost caught the ASOE.  Safarie Joe and the Lunatacs are neck and neck as they race after everyone else.  And Turmagar finally got off the ground.

<Thundercub> And there's the first hand off.  The ASOE pitch their fruit to Grune who takes off in the Mu-Tank.  Kit tosses to Kat, Jackalman to Monkian, and the lead three are off!

<Lady T> Here come the rest!  Nice pass from Amok to Chilla.  Look at her go!  She's catching up fast.  Joe shoots his Berbil fruit to Shiner who's not far behind Chilla.  And bringing up the rear is Turmagar.  The Berbils are waiting, but that Candy Fruit Picker is not known for its speed.

<Thundercub> Uh-oh.  Looks like Grune has run into trouble.  Monkian is firing on him and Grune can't control the Mu-Tank.  Kat is taking the lead.  Chilla and Shiner have caught up with Monkian and Grune!

<Lady T> And the Berbils are slowly plodding along after everyone.  You have to give them credit for endurance.  They've clearly lost, but they're still going.

<Thundercub> And here comes the second series of hand offs!  Kat is now in the lead and throws over to Lion-O.  Chilla is now second and she made a nice throw to Alluro.  Monkian, Grune, and Shiner are in a dead heat for third.  And there it is.  Vultureman drops the pass.  He'll have to get out of the Flying Machine to retrieve his fruit and that will probably cost the mutants this race.  Good catch by the Enflamor, but he's not caught the fruit on fire.  They'll have to put it out, because the fruit must be present when the last competitors crosses the finish line.

<Lady T> Mandora's not paying any attention to everyone.  She's out to catch the leaders.  Look at that speed!

<Thundercub> Vultureman is now airborne.  He's moving fast, but I don't think he can catch anyone.  And there come the Berbils.  They hand off to Kudi, but she can't seem to start her power sled.

<Lady T> Mandora has passed Alluro and caught up with Lion-O.  She's passing him and...wait a minute.  Alluro is using his psyche club and Mandora is slowing down.

<Thundercub> Is that legal?

<Lady T> Nothing against it. Remember, this race was not supposed to be held with everyone in it, so they didn't worry about things like that.

<Thundercub> Hmm.  Too bad for Mandora, I guess.  And the Enflamor has not been able to put out the fruit.  It is completely gone.  So much for them.  The Driller won't even get a chance to race.

<Lady T> Mandora has now dropped behind Alluro and she's slowing even more.  And here come the last handoffs!  Lion-O hurls the fruit toward Cheetara and...

<Thundercub> What a horrible throw!  The Lunatacs have a real chance now.

<Lady T> Except they miss their throw, too.  Luna cannot catch.

<Thundercub> Cheetara has the fruit now.  Fast leg work for her, and she's off.  And the Lunatacs are right behind.  Vultureman has drawn even with Mandora and he tosses his fruit to Slithe while Mandora throws to Captain Bragg.  Whoa!  The Circus Train just rammed sideways and knocked Slithe's Nosediver sprawling into the fire.

<Lady T> Maybe there's an unwritten rule, somewhere...

<Thundercub> And Cheetara and the Lunattacker are racing down the homestretch!  The Circus Train is just getting started.  It won't catch the leaders, but it has nothing to fear from behind.  Kudi hasn't even passed off to the Berbils yet.

<Lady T> Ah, it's about time!  Cheetara just threw her staff into the treads of the Lunattacker and it's gone sideways.  Amok is trying to get it back up, but he won't make it in time.  The Thundertank storms across the finish line!  There he goes.  The Lunattacker comes in second.

<Thundercub> And the Circus Train puts around the village to claim third.  Oh look.  Kudi just handed off to the Berbils.

<Lady T> Has Slithe come out of the fire yet?

<Thundercub> Uh, no.  Not yet.

<Lady T> Oh well.  One less mutant.  Joining us now down on the race way is...well...it's supposed to be Fianna.  But I don't see him anywhere.  Wait a minute, who's that?

<Thundercub> Looks like RD's ugly cloak.

<Fianna> It's me!  RD let me borrow it to hide from the kittens.

<Thundercub> Isn't that kind of obvious?  Aren't the kittens looking for that particular cloak?

<Fianna> Exactly.  So when they see it, they'll think it's too obvious and is a decoy.  They won't bother me.

<Lady T> Twisted and psychotic.  So who've you got down there?

<Fianna> I'm here with Monkian.  The other mutants are trying to find Slithe in the Berbil village.  So Monkian, what are your impressions of the race.

<Monkian> Hoo hoo, it was rigged.

<Fianna> But you were in the lead until Vultureman dropped the pass.  How was it rigged?

<Monkian> It just was.

<Fianna> Oh.  I guess that's good enough.

<Monkian> It better be good enough.  And next time, we won't be the losers. I can promise you that.  If anything is rigged, it will be rigged for us.

<Fianna> Do you want that on the record?

<Monkian> Record?  No, I have a CD player.

<Fianna> Never mind.  Back to you, Lady Thundera and Thundercub.

<Lady T> Well, that concludes this week's Olympics and once again we leave you from a raging inferno.  Seems to be a pattern here.

<Thundercub> Where are all the Berbils going?

<Lady T> I don't know.  Let's see...drums, rifles, an elephant...an elephant?  Where did the Berbils get an elephant?

<Thundercub> Oh, I know.  They're hunting Thundera Tiger.

<Lady T> But that doesn't answer the question about the elephant.  And someone's riding the elephant.  It's...I should have known.

<Thundercub> RD?

<Lady T> How'd you guess?

<Thundercub> Kit?  Kat?  He's on the elephant!

<Kit and Kat> Thanks!

<Lady T> And with that, I think we'll sign off.  Personally, I plan to be as far away from these crazy people as I can be.  Good night!
