<Thundercub> Hey there, Olympic fans.  I'm Thundercub.

<Thundera Tiger> And I'm Thundera Tiger.  We're joining you from inside Skytomb's engine room where the Lunatacs have set up a series of jumps for the unicorns.

<Thundercub> We expect this event to go off as planned because the elephants are dead and so is RD.  So hope with us, and maybe all will turn out right.  Let's go over the competitors.  Lion-O has convinced one of the stallions from the unicorn pack to be his mount for this event.  Expect them to do very well.  Luna has...it looks like her unicorn is hypnotized.

<Tiger> You can thank Alluro for that.

<Thundercub> Is that allowed?

<Tiger> There's nothing specifically against it.

<Thundercub> Oh.  Well, anyway, Mumm-Ra has subdued a nice looking unicorn.  Actually, the unicorn is not so nice looking now.  Looks kind of depressed and scared.  Safari Joe has...that unicorn is dead.

<Tiger> He had to kill it to catch it.  I know because I was there when it happened.  He's turned it into a robot.  Again, nothing specifically against it in the rules, though it is questionable.  But no one's challenged his entry yet, so he can go ahead and try to jump.

<Thundercub> I see.  Rataro has a rather timid looking unicorn and Snow Man has found a decent-sized mare.  They look as though they're getting along.

<Tiger> For this event, each unicorn needs to clear a series of jumps.  They can choose the jumps in any particular order and they can rejump them to get to different ones, but there is a time limit.

<Thundercub> And there goes Snow Man.  He and his unicorn look like they have an understanding.  She's not fighting him, in any case.  Whoops, she just refused a jump.  That will cost them.

<Tiger> But she's finishing the rest of the routine with Snow Man's guidance.  Good job.

<Thundercub> And here's Rataro.  His unicorn is...well, it's not doing what he wants it to be doing.  In fact...

<Tiger> Now that's like something out of RD's stories.

<Thundercub> The unicorn just impaled Rataro.  Okay, next.

<Tiger> And there goes Lion-O.  He's got quite the spirited mount.  They're taking the course  fast and furious.  Whoops, knocked over one of the jumps, but he's still ahead of Snow Man.  Good ride.

<Thundercub> And here goes Safari Joe.  Or not.  Did he program that robot?

<Tiger> Actually, I think he asked Panthro to program it for him.  Which would explain it's behavior.

<Thundercub> Okay, that's two impaled competitors.  Who's next?

<Tiger> What?

<Thundercub> Are you even paying attention?

<Tiger> Oh, yeah.  Um...what was the question?

<Thundercub> Never mind, it's Mumm-Ra.  Oh, that unicorn is not a happy camper.

<Tiger> I'm picking up vibrations.

<Thundercub> It's a figment of your imagination.  I refuse to believe that the elephants are still out there.

<Tiger> Yeah, but...

<Thundercub> And while Mumm-Ra's unicorn didn't impale him, he refused all the jumps.  Tough luck.  Finally, we have Luna and her hypnotized unicorn.

<Tiger> Do you think the Lunatacs would let me use Skytomb's sensors?

<Thundercub> Do I look like a Lunatac?  Why are you asking me?

<Tiger> It was more of a rhetorical question, actually.  I'll be back in a minute.

<Thundercub> Sigh.  Okay, Luna's unicorn is successfully clearing the jumps, but it's moving so slowly that I don't think they'll come in under time.  And no, they didn't.  That drops Luna into third, Snow Man is second, and Lion-O is first.  The Thundercats have taken gold in every single event.

<Tiger> There's no life forms on the scanners, but I'm still picking up vibrations.  So are the sensors, too.

<Thundercub> Well, I don't see how that could be happening unless--

<Tiger> LOOK AT THAT!!!

<Thundercub> Something is ripping off the top half of Skytomb.  It's...it's one of the Ancient Spirits of Evil!

<ASOE#1> WRONG!  I AM NOT MERELY AN ANCIENT SPIRIT OF EVIL.  I AM RD RIVERO!!!

<Tiger> I think we're in serious trouble.

<Thundercub> Anyone want to explain what's going on?

<RD> WHEN I FELL INTO THE VOLCANO WITH THE ELEPHANTS, THE ANCIENT SPIRITS OF EVIL WERE DYING BENEATH THE ROCK SLIDE.  OUR CONSCIOUS MINDS JOINED AND NOW I AM ALL-POWERFUL!!!

<Tiger> I was right.  We are in serious trouble.

<Thundercub> RUN!!!

<Tiger> And as we run, I'd like to invite you all to join us again next week for the final Olympic rounds and possible closing ceremony if we don't die before then.

<RD> FEEL MY WRATH AND TREMBLE, TIGERS!!!  I AM RD THE IMMORTAL!!!  FLEE AND COWER BEFORE ME!!!
