<Fianna> Shhh!!!

<Lady Bast> I'm trying!

<Fianna> Try harder!

<Bast> Okay, we're reporting to you today from deep within the labyrinth of Mumm-Ra's pyramid.  We're trying very hard to stay quiet because there are rumors that RD is trying to kill everyone and take over Third Earth for himself.  Given the fact that he's now an ASOE, this is a problem.

<Fianna> But regardless of this, the Olympics go on.  This is the site of the decathlon, a grueling obstacle course through Mumm-Ra's underground maze.  The competitors can take any course they choose as long as they reach the cauldron room first.  But they do have to stay underground and within the pyramid structure.

<Bast> Entered in this event for the mutants is Monkian.  He's their most athletic mutant, so he stands something of a chance.  Mumm-Ra is entered for his team.  Naturally, he's the favorite.  Lion-O is also expected to do well.  He's been down here several times and almost knows his way around.  TugMug, Nayda, and Turmagar are really only here because they drew the short straw when their team was picking competitors.  None of them stand a chance.

<Cheezey> Hey guys!  I think Panthro and Snow Meow have RD sufficiently distracted and Vultureman and Chilla will take over when those two get tired.  Start the race.

<Bast> Cheezey's running lookout.  And there they go!

<Fianna> As expected, Mumm-Ra is taking the shortest and more dangerous route, but for him, the way is opening up.  And Lion-O is staying right behind him.  By sticking close to the mummy, the traps don't turn on fast enough to catch the lion.

<Bast> Monkian is taking a longer but probably safer passage.  Unfortunately, there are rows of mummies at the end of his road. He'll have to watch out for them.  Nayda is making surprising speed up a secondary route filled with poisonous snakes.  And Turmagar...he's trying to swim the River of Death.

<Fianna> Isn't that kind of deadly?

<Bast> I thought so, but he's trying anyway. And TugMug is jumping several large holes in the ground.  Does he realize he's heading up a dead end?

<Fianna> It's TugMug.  What do you think?

<Bast> True.  Ooo, look at that.  Nayda is using one of the snakes to keep the others at bay.  Good whip action.  Tygra could take lessons.

<Fianna> Monkian looks like he's tied up in his work.  Excuse the pun.

<Bast> I don't think I can.  That was pretty bad.  Well, that's one mummified monkey.

<Fianna> TugMug has discovered the brick wall.  He's trying to crash through it.

<Bast> But there's nothing on the other side.  It's just dirt.  Where does he think he'll...never mind.  He's a Lunatac.  I should already know that.

<Fianna> You're catching on.

<Bast> Hmm...whered did Turmagar go?  Oh look.  There he is.  He's...

<Fianna> Are things supposed to decay that quickly?

<Bast> It is a river of death, but that's ridiculous.

<Fianna> So...um...think you can revive Turmagar by the closing ceremonies?

<Bast> Probably.  But I can't get to him before synchronized swimming.  His team will just have to play down a man.

<Fianna> And he was the best swimmer.

<Bast> Mumm-Ra is now closing in on the cauldron room.  He's going to be first.  He's--

<Fianna> No he's not.  Lion-O just tripped him up with a very nasty kick from behind.  He's leaping the mummy.  He's making a run for it.  He's...

<Bast> He's made it!  He's first!  Mumm-Ra is second!

<Fianna> And here comes Nayda!  She's made it to third.  And everyone else is either tied up, dead, or ramming his head into a brick wall.

<Bast> TugMug's passed the bricks now.  He's into bedrock.

<Fianna> I see.  Same thing.  Hey Black Eagle?  Do you have an interview for us?

<Black Eagle> Any sign of RD?

<Bast> Cheezey hasn't said anything.

<Eagle> Good enough.  I'm over here with Lion-O who's out of breath but more than willing to talk.  So Lion-O...how does it feel to beat Mumm-Ra in his own backyard?

<Lion-O> It's great, Black Eagle.  I've wanted to do this for ages.  That decayed old bundle of bones has never had a chance against the Thundercats and this proves it.

<Eagle> What was your strategy for the race?

<Lion-O> I planned to stay as close to him as possible so that I could--

<Cheezey> SCATTER!!! HE'S COMING BACK!!!

<Lion-O> Wait, I'm not done yet!

<Eagle> I'm not sticking around.  See you guys later.

<Fianna> How are we going to do synchornized swimming?

<Bast> That's not my problem.  Let's get out of here.

<Fianna> Just to recap, we've got Lion-O in first, Mumm-Ra in second, and Nayda in third.

<Bast> And RD on the loose.  RUN!!!
